I'd like this to go like the picture thread.  Each reply should include one (and only one) cool link.  It would be nice if these weren't websites for pieces of software because I may make a thread about that later.  It's probably best if you don't post anything illegal too I guess.  

Wikipedia is a an free online encyclopedia that also has a bunch of other cool things like a dictionary, quotes, and free books.  It's all editable and usermade.  Seems to have all sorts of random information that serves no particular purpose, my kind of site.

I always post on these pointless threads.  I'm not too sure of a few of the icons, and I find background images generally pointless, but that's what it would look like if it weren't covered by IRC/AIM or a browser 24/7.  Gnome 2.8 with the Industrial gtk2 theme, niknak window borders (metacity), and the nuvola iconset.

Though I've never used it I've heard good things about http://www.dvdshrink.org.  It doesn't seem to be able to burn itself, but probably does what you need combined with Nero.  I'm gonna keep talking with a few pointless sentences because I don't want a one-line post.

I'd also play, but I might have to go with the infamous FUB.  It would obviously have to be have some minor tweaks to continue its utter dominance, but as the defending champion (of some other crappy online tourney), I'd be expected to bring a powerhouse like FUB to the table.  The cards may change, but the hate will remain the same.  I could also bring some other crazy pile to the party, but I think all my fan (yes there's only one) would be disappointed if I didn't play FUB.

For the last critter spot I came across granger guildmage.  He was a staple card in this sort of thing for a while.  He would be abusive vs fish, could take out welders, and can still had with curiosity through blockers.  The main problem is he doesn't swing for more than 1, and he needs both off colors.  Fish really can't deal with him at all though, but it sounds like fish isn't much of a worry anyway.

The same reason people use IE, because they are idiots or have no choice.  I guess I should throw out a new screenshot with this pointless post.

Thats my Xfce4 desktop with xchat, gaim, and firefox providing the little notes thing.  Theres a bit of an icon sizing bug so it's not exactly how I like it.

I don't ever go to my my desktop because its mostly pointless.  It doesn't have any icons or anything on it anyway.  So I took a screenshot of my normal screen.  I went with a much simpler look than I've had at some times.
