Eternal Formats / Miscellaneous / [deck] nassif's eba

It's definitely not tech overlooked. From what I've seen, the area is fairly weak sans 4-5 players. Toad always ends up on top when he plays no matter what he feels like playing ( see his reaplace report for an example) and it should come as no surprise Nassif delivered with a deck that's pretty terrible. I think this is not a good sample ... This tourney is "fun" and half of the player are a twelve year boys (that playing *4* Mind's desire because in T2 it can) So, please don't use that for explain the "French metagame" and the preformance of Nassif

Eternal Formats / Creative / Multiple deck discussion centering on one card [M. Workshop]

*How about Mana Drain in a monoblue shop deck? I have tried this one, the really problems is the next : You play Workshop so you WANT to play a quickly bomb (and if you play monoBlue keep it on the table), in my test the "bomb" are Juggy/su-chi/masti You play ManaDrain, so you WANT to have UU open at the end of your second turn (assuming your first FoW are used to keep your bomb on table) You CANNOT play Worksop + Island + Island on turn 2 And next, in a mono-blue version all good blue card became very bad (Thrist and intuition without welder) Welder is not only good because you can lowcast high cost bomb, it's REALLY good because you can RE-PLAY card that are countered[/quote]

If this can help you, I have often an Hand Like that : 1 Meditate 1 ManaCrypt 1 Lotus Petal 1 CoB 1 Waste 1 Welder
And Then I play the medidate dor Drawing Workshop, TangleWire, Gemstone, random card
With this, I play the tangle after the meditate and having a soft lock in play
Now, With Tfk instead of Medidate : Playing : ManaCrypt, Lotus Petal, CoB, Tfk Drawing : Workshop, TangleWire, Gemstone Discarding : Tangle Playing : Welder Next Turn I can Weld for Tangle Wire, but this turn I haven't any piece of Lock
(In this sample you can easily replace Workshop by Black and seen that you cannot playing Tangle even if you have already LandDropped)

Eternal Formats / Miscellaneous / [Article] Meandeck's Angels: A Primer on Meandeck Oath

The Blessing goes on the stack, but does not resolve until the Oath trigger resolves - netting you the creature.
Thus, creature goes into play, THEN you shuffle your graveyard into your library. I'm not sure .... You just reveal the card when you "search" for a creature, if you reveal a Blessing, nothing append. The blessing is triggered when the card go to the graveyard. After you reveal a creature you put the card revealed in the graveyard and THEN the blessing trigered. The cards goes in the graveyard at same time you put the creature into play.

If while you are Oathing you see a Gaea's Blessing, the Blessing will trigger, but will not resolve until the Oathing completes. Just a note : At the beginning of each player's upkeep, if that player controls fewer creatures than any of his or her opponents, the player may reveal cards from the top of his or her library until he or she reveals a creature card. The player puts that card into play and all other cards revealed this way into his or her graveyard So, if you see a Gaea's Blessing, nothing trigger the card are not in your graveyard, it is just "revealed" at this time. When Oath completes, the card are put in the graveyard, and then it trigger.(then resolve) Isn't it ?

I have some question about the build, perhaps can you help me with your answers.
Why 3 Pyroblast and 2 Hydroblast instead of BeB and ReB ?
Why don't playing 1x Darksteel Citadel ? With Intuition AND Crucible AND Mindslaver AND welder already in, you can get an infinite Slaver turn.

Another idea i was thinking of (not to solve the above problem, but just an idea) is Lion's Eye Diamond. What do you think? It's just a very very very Good Card in this deck =) I have already play game where it is just like a BL (playing Skullcamp, Kobold, mox, LED, no card in hand, and sacrifice it for draw with the skullcamp) And if you play Ywill it is also very powerfull !!!

O_o
In all this post the ONLY draw engine is the skullCamp (excet for recycle) Why you do not play the better Drawing Card that is printed in Magic : Yawgmoth's Bargain
Then, I playing a MonoBlack version (ok it is not the good thing I Think) I playing 3 Carnival Soul and 2 Genesis Chamber. Genesis Chamber give you more creature to draw AND can be a plan B with a simple BeatDown ...
Memory Jar is also a very good draw card...
So now most "personnal" choice : I play "Ornithopter" and "Culling the Weak" that allow you the tricks to equip Orni and sacrifice it for BBBB !
In other Situation Culling just give you the mana to Cast tendrill, or can help you to start your turn (song of damned, not)
For Help, i post my list (but is not the optimal decklist i Think) 8 Swamp 1 Black Lotus 1 Chrome Mox 1 Lion's Eye Diamond 1 Lotus Petal 1 Mana Crypt 1 Mana Vault 1 Memory Jar 1 Mox Emerald 1 Mox Jet 1 Mox Pearl 1 Mox Ruby 1 Mox Sapphire 2 Genesis Chamber 4 Skullclamp 4 Ornithopter 4 Crimson Kobolds 4 Crookshank Kobolds 4 Kobolds of Kher Keep 1 Yawgmoth's Bargain 3 Carnival of Souls 1 Demonic Consultation 1 Vampiric Tutor 4 Culling the Weak 4 Dark Ritual 1 Demonic Tutor 1 Yawgmoth's Will 2 Tendrils of Agony

2 Enlightened Tutor
isn't limited ? So, I juste prefer the B/g version but with 4 ManaDrain// 4 Time Vault for the "kill" After a "Drain" you can easely cast RootMaze + Stasis + Time Vault (and backup it with FoW, Daze, Thwart, enventualy ManaLeak) For the double ESG + Naturalisation (Or "Bounty of the hunt" on a madness "Basking Rootwalla") I just want to say, that you can "play" a "first" turn, do not pay the Stase, And use your Time Vault for playing your second turn with all Untapped, to Find a "solution" =)
