Well, I myself have been building a type 0 GAT deck, I've been thinking about also making a 7-10 as well.
So far this is what I've been thinking
Mana 30
4 Tolarion Academy 1 Black Lotus 1 Mox Sapphire 1 Mox Ruby 2 Sol Ring 4 Mishra's Workshop 3 Gilded Lotus 4 Volcanic Island 4 Wasteland 1 Stripmine 4 Mana Crypt
Beats 8
3 Sundering Titan 2 Razermane Masticore 1 Darksteel Collosus 1 Duplicant 1 Triskelion
Broken stuff 17
4 Goblin Welder 4 Tinker 4 Trinisphere 2 Crucible of Worlds 1 Memory Jar 1 Ancestral Recall 1 Timewalk
That leaves 5 slots open...
People might be wondering about the collosus, but it's definitely the best (most fun?) first turn play. Sundering Titan isn't going to get any lands, and with 4 Tinker's and 4 Mana Crypt's a first turn Collosus isn't out of the question.
The reason I went with 4 Mana Crypt and only 2 Sol Rings was because of the first turn Tinker. Also, this deck doesn't really have any problem getting rid of the Crypt if it becomes a problem.
Anyway, I'd like to see what other people think, and maybe get some feedback on the last 5 slots.

-Mana-
4 Thran Quarry 4 City of Brass 4 Reflecting Pool 4 Undiscovered Paradise
4 Chrome Mox 4 Mox Diamond
4 Birds of Paradise
-Slivars-
4 Sliver Queen 4 Crystalline Sliver 4 Muscle Sliver 1 Sliver Overlord 1 Root Sliver 1 Talon Sliver 1 Synapse Sliver 1 Essence Sliver 1 Squee, Goblin Nabob
-The Help-
4 Force of Will 4 Mana Drain (Counterspell) 4 Survival of the Fittest 4 Living Wish 3 Recurring Nightmare
= 65 cards
Obviously 65 cards is 5 too many, however, I'm almost tempted to leave it the way it is.
Here's what I keep thinking, when I cut the utility slivers to the 'sideboard' (for casual that's just outside the game) ready to be 'wished' into the game, I keep wondering why I'm using Survival of the Fittest. Sure throwing Squee away for a sliver every turn is good, but when all I'm getting is more muscle slivers out of the deck it's just not worth it.
For example I could free up the 4 Survival slots, keep the utility slivers main decked and use Sliver Overlords ability to search for whatever I need. This isn't as good as throwing Squee away for 1 mana to get them, but if Survival's are in the deck I just don't have room for the utility slivers.
So I'm very conflicted at this point. Another obvious solution would be to cut the Mana Drains, however, without the drains (I think I mentioned this before) I just can't see having enough blue cards to safely use Force of Wills. Not running some kind of counter isn't really an option since Wrath of God completely ruins my day.
So it's sideboard the Utility Slivers and keep the Survival's to fetch more Muscle Slivers, or cut the Survival's and rely on Sliver Overlord to get me what I need. (And remember, I am running 4 Living Wish's, so it's like i'm running 5 main deck).
Maybe since it is casual I can just keep it at 65 cards. With the Synapse Slivers card draw shouldn't be too much of a problem.
Again, any and all help is greatly appreciated... as I've taken most of it so far =P
Regards, Sauce

Thanks again for the help bebe.
Since this is casual I don't have to worry about sideboard, which means I just have to keep all the other slivers 'on me' whenever I play the deck. Although I probably will come up with a legitimate sideboard anyway.
As for the Mana Base, I completely agree with making is legal is a good option to have, but since I have 4 of each mox (diamond and chrome) I just use them for fun. Although, like with the slivers not in the deck, I keep the cards 'on me' to make it legal if I feel like switching it up.

Thanks for the reply guys, and I like both suggestions of Squee and Living Wish. I've been trying to find a way to fit both in the deck, and it hasn't been easy.
I've been thinking about going down to 1 Crystalline and adding in 3 Living Wish. This however also takes 3 cards out that can pay for Force of Will. I think If I have to remove the crystallines, Force will probably have to go.
Please give me some advice here
Thanks again, Sauce

OK, so I haven't made too many posts here, and the ones I do make tend to be centered around more casual decks. Keeping with this trend I've been working on one of my very old decks trying to 'update' it if you will. I guess I should say what I define as casual before actually posting my list. Me and my friends, when we play casual, we don't really have a banned/restricted list. One of my friends decks uses 4 Balances for example. We do not allow the use of Ante cards, and none us have any P9 to abuse (well I have 1 Ruby, but that's legal anyway).
The sliver deck I played roughly 3 years ago looked like this
4 Crystalline Sliver 4 Muscle Sliver 4 Acidic Sliver 4 Winged Sliver 3 Talon Sliver
4 Wall of Blossoms
4 Mana Leak 3 Recurring Nightmare
4 Birds of Paradise
1 Mox Diamond (Only had 1) 3 Lotus Petals (Replacing the other Mox Diamonds) 4 City of Brass 4 Reflecting Pool 2 Undiscovered Paradise X Plains X Island X Forest
No Sliver Queen simply because I didn't have one.
The Reacurring Nightmare, besides being able to switch a BoP for a more usefull Sliver had a nice Synergy with Wall of Blossoms, as have 1 in play and 1 in the graveyard meant pay 3 mana to draw a card.
So, using this deck as a template I've been tying to build a Sliver deck that's more up to date.
So what I've been thinking is something like
4 Sliver Queen 4 Crystalline Sliver 4 Muscle Sliver 1 Acidic Sliver 1 Winged Sliver 1 Talon Sliver 1 Synapse Sliver 1 Essence Sliver 1 Sliver Overlord
4 Birds of Paradise
4 Survival of the Fittest 3 Recurring Nightmare
4 Force of Will 4 Mana Leak / Mana Drain
4 Mox Diamond 4 Chrome Mox
4 City of Brass 4 Reflecting Pool 4 Undiscovered Paradise 4 Thran Quarry
Ok, so by adding in the Survival of the Fittest's I've cut down most of the Sliver's to 1 of's. The 4 Muscle Sliver's are a no brainer, since having more then 1 of them in play has a benefit, the other Slivers except Crystalline can be cut down to 1 since having more then 1 in play has no effect.
4 Crystalline are there because dropping one turn one usually causes opponents to go berserk (So many useless burn spells).
4 Sliver Queen's are there because they're so usefull, you can toss one to pay for a Force of Will, Imprint one on a Chrome Mox to allow it to tap for Any Color, and you can always pitch it to Survival of the Fittest to find another sliver (and then revive it with Recurring Nightmare! weeee)
So now, any suggestions? Keep in mind that this is generally a 'for fun' deck, but I would like it to be about as good as a Sliver deck can be.
Any and All suggestions are appreciated, thanks!
Regards, Sauce

I really like worldly tutor.
have 1 - 2 would be nice, however, how would you go about fixing the mana base?
possibly add some of the fetch lands and maybe a tropical island or something.

Eternal Formats / Creative / Errotic Explosion - Really fun

I agree, and the 4 counterspells in the sideboard were supposed to be force of will.
since my meta is mostly srubby aggro I went for the fattest possible combo'ing off and left the counter spells for the sideboard to bring in against control decks.
I would like some suggestions on what to remove though, to possibly bring them into the maindeck.
3 Careful Study is a good start, but that still leaves 5 cards to be removed.
Thanks for the comment.

*Note: The typo in the title was on purpose*
Well I made a fun Extended deck a few days ago based around the Erratic Explosion / Draco combo. The deck has somewhat impressed me with the fact that it's gotten me some surprise wins in a few casual games. Haven't brought it to a tourney and if I did it would obviously be for pure fun without any real expectations. I'm going to try and convert it over to type 1 and see how fast a win can be achieved. I realize the combo itself isn't even optimal since it leaves the opponent at 4 life, but like I said, I don't expect it to be 'the next big thing'.
Heres my current decklist for extended
Combo 3 Erratic Explosion 3 Draco
Search/Draw 4 Brainstorm 4 Scroll Rack 4 Accumulated Knowledge 4 Carefull Study 3 Intuition 2 Mystical Tutor 2 Burning Wish 1 Cunning Wish
Other 3 Fire/Ice 2 Sonic Blast
Mana 4 Chrome Mox 4 Shivan Reef 4 City of Brass 5 Island 3 Mountain 2 Bloodstained Mire 3 Polluted Delta
Sideboard 1 Erratic Explosion 1 Earthquake 3 Fact or Fiction 2 Gamble 4 Counterspell 4 Mana Leak
Obviously, right off the bat the mana has to be changed. Remove 3 Chrome Mox for 1 Black Lotus, 1 Mox Ruby and 1 Mox Saphire. Remove the 4 City of Brass for 4 Volcanic Island. Also I will probably take out 1 Island and 1 Mountain for 1 Sol Ring and 1 Mana Crypt. That gives a much better mana base, however I'm still looking for suggestions.
For search and draw, Ancestral Recall is an obvious addition, so -1 Careful study, +1 Ancestral Recall. Have to go down to 1 Burning Wish so replace it with a Time Walk. Also have to cut 1 Mystical Tutor, so lets add in a Frantic Search in its place.
That's all i've got for now, so the type 1 decklist at the moment is
Combo 3 Erratic Explosion 3 Draco
Search/Draw 4 Brainstorm 4 Scroll Rack 4 Accumulated Knowledge 3 Intuition 3 Careful Study 1 Ancestral Recall 1 Frantic Search 1 Burning Wish 1 Cunning Wish 1 Mystical Tutor
Other 3 Fire/Ice 2 Sonic Blast (anything better?) 1 Time Walk
Mana 1 Black Lotus 1 Mox Saphire 1 Mox Ruby 1 Sol Ring 1 Mana Crypt 1 Chrome Mox 4 Volcanic Island 4 Shivan Reef 4 Island 2 Mountain 3 Polluted Delta 2 Bloodstained Mire
Sideboard 1 Erratic Explosion 1 Earthquake 1 Fact or Fiction 2 Rack and Ruin 4 Force of Will - edit 4 Mana Drain *2 more cards
Ok so now we have a decklist, I guess I'll give an explanation on how the deck is supposed to work. It's actually -really- simple, use a Brainstorm or Scroll Rack to drop a draco on top of your library, then cast an erratic explosion to do 16 to your opponent. After that you can finish him off with another Erratic Explosion (using a Fire Ice since it has a CC of 4) or a Sonic Blast (is there better 4 damage DD?). You could even pull the earthquake from the sideboard with the Burning Wish if you have to.
What I'm really looking for are some suggestions to either speed it up or make it more consistant. I'm probably using some sub-optimal cards simply because I'm forgetting something pretty obvious.
I was just having a good time playing this in extended and thought I'd see if could work at all in type 1. My Meta is probably 65% scrubby aggro, if that helps with the suggestions.

Eternal Formats / Creative / Combo style, Will it work?

Well I'm about to go look up Long.Dec, thanks Colder for the info.
Now as to playing 'so many spells' my thought process to putting this thing together was something like -
With all the mana accelerants - Mox's, Lotus, Grim Monolith, Mana Vault, Crypt, Sol Ring etc. It should be able to get off an early Mind's Desires (using some search/draw) which would then trigger some draw 7's into opening up the whole deck and even possibly a Yawgmoth's Will to open up the graveyard.
The tinker is to get out the Memory Jar, although you're right about the retract, since I have 3 Cunning Wish's I might as well put 1 sideboard.
Anyway, this deck could very well be garbage, I don't know... like I said, I thought about it at work and decided to see if anyone else thought there was some potential.
Now it's off to look at some other Combo decks, for some inspiration.

Eternal Formats / Creative / Combo style, Will it work?

Combo
1 Minds Desire 2 Brain Freeze / Tendrils of Despair 1 Retract
Counters
4 Force of Will 4 Mana Drain 2 Stifle
Utility
3 Cunning Wish 1 Swords to Plowshares 1 Wrath of God 1 Rack and Ruin
Drawing
1 Ancestral Recall 1 Skeletal Scrying 1 Wheel of Fortune 1 Memory Jar 1 Time Spiral 1 Demonic Tutor 1 Demonic Consultation 1 Windfall 1 Stroke of Genius
Broken
1 Yawgmoths Will 1 Tinker 1 Mind Twist
Mana
1 Black Lotus 1 Mox Jet 1 Mox Sapphire 1 Mox Ruby 1 Mox Pearl 1 Mox Emerald 1 Library of Alexandria 1 Mana Vault 1 Mana Crypt 1 Grim Monolith 1 Chrome Mox 1 Tolarian Academy 1 Sol Ring 1 Strip Mine 3 Wasteland 3 Underground Sea 3 Tundra 2 Polluted Delta 1 Flooded Strand 1 Island 1 Swamp 1 Plains
Sideboard
1 Rack and Ruin 1 Swords to Plowshares 1 Disenchant 3 Red Elemental Blast 1 Coffin Purge 1 Stifle -- and um, little help.
OK, so I was -really- bored at work tonight and this idea just kinda popped into my head. Starting with a somewhat Keeper looking build, turn the win condition into a storm card like Brainfreeze (which is what I was originally planning on using). So with a standard Keeper array of counters, 4 Mana Drains and 4 Force of Wills, we can hopefully protect the -Brainfreeze- and counter any serious threats.
To build up a storm count high enough to deck someone with brainfreeze is gonna take a lot of spells. That's where Minds Desire and Retract come in. This deck plays so many low casting artifacts, Retract + Drawing/Draw 7's + Yawgmoth's will should be enough alone to get off a ridiculous Brain Freeze, but toss in a Minds Desire beforehand and it get's silly. I don't know whether to go 1 Tendrils 1 Brainfreeze, 2 Tendril's, or 2 Brain Freeze's yet though. I know Tendrils requires less of a storm count to win, so I think it's probably the better choice.
I'm hoping to use the sideboard as an extension of the deck, that's why I run 3 Wish's, and the sideboard is all Instants. I do need some help here though, so please give me some ideas. Possibly more Counterspells, but I need to put some more thought into it.
As always, thanks in advance for any advice, and thanks for taking a look.
-Sauce
