1  Vintage Community Discussion / General Community Discussion / Re: repack ripoff on: August 29, 2005, 11:18:53 pm
I managed to pull a Mox Jet out of about 25 repacks, was a decent deal at at the time, got free duals for each  10 packs bought. I ended up with about 7 duals, a mox, and some other random good stuff for about 75 bucks.

Then again, I have picked up some that were just were bad, really bad..;/

My advice would be dont overtry. Just play calm and dont make rushed plays. Thats half the fun of Tourny play, the excitement of playing for that top 8 spot.. etc, but try not to get caught up in it (harder than said even for those of us that try not to like me lol)

Good luck man.

oh and btw.

PLAYTEST  Very Happy

5  Eternal Formats / Creative / Why did you choose to play Type 1? on: March 05, 2004, 12:52:53 am
I started playing Type one back in the hay day after I saw some of the regulars playing. The speed was unbelivable, and I loved it from the start. I have to agree that it is nice to take off 7 months (like I just did) and come back to very few changes in the format, or even the deck that I currently play. In general its always a higher level of competition in T1 also, there are fewer casual players, thus a higher level of challenge. I have always felt that I was a T1 player first and foremost and play T2 when there isnt a large T1 event/players going on. And, on a final note
there are just so many wicked fun decks to play in T1 its sick.

Thanks for the quick Reply, couple of quick questions if you dont mind.

First of all, I see that mana Crypt has made its way into both decklists, which looks good, but I dont see a Tutor in your List, do you miss it?

Nice Artical Btw. Shed alot of insight. Kudos to Jp also, Hulk Smash indeed.
