I was thinking that because there aren't very many people up in orange that play the game as religiously as some others, we should allow 10 proxies...I know that this board will blow up with both happy and angry people, and this number is still negotiable, but for all intensive purposes the more people that show up the better. I've heard that there are a LOT of people who play in orange, and the more proxies that are allowed the more players that will show up, but thats my opinion. Id like to hear some opinions about why you think 5 is a good idea, or 10 is a good idea. In regards to entrance fees, im assuming that if mox "X" costs us $250 to pick up, and the combination of 2nd/3rd prize is like $100, then thats $350 coming out of their pockets. I dont think that getting 35 people to pay $10 would be a problem, and the goal is to at least make this place some money, even if its just $50. So I can make this promise, you can count on the entrance fee being less than $15. The ONLY way that the cost will go over $15 per person is if 20 or less people show up. I dont mind losing some money to this tournament if i can get a bunch of people to have a great time, but I'm rather tight for funds at the moment and I'd rather not have a huge risk on my hands. Thanks all
Tom
P.S. If you are wondering, this will be run properly with deck registration. If anybody knows the name of the program that ryan and rich use at hadley for the tournaments they hold, or something very similar, PLEASE post where I can find it and what its called, thx again.
Better lower it to 5-8, that just kills us power owners.
