WOTC should do this at Gencon, and post the results on their site. That way the info has the highest amount of credibility.

You know what sucks? Not having a car. West Chester is like SO far away. But, thanks a lot guys for the help. Like you all said, maybe we can get a community going.

There is also a post in Starcity's forums for a tourny sometime in April (i wanna say the 25th?) down in the Chester area. Around Widener University, I think. The top prize is a Time walk...Should be cool. If somebody can get me a ride...lol.

Does anybody know more about this tourny/store?

Thanks guys!

I've also heard stories like Atog Lord's. A keeper player was telling me over the weekend how, no matter how hard he tried, he was always defeated by A ravenger affinity deck. Metagame wise, if word of this gets around, we could be seeing more affinity decks at big T1 tournies simply because people already have it built. This I imagine would lead to bad mactchups for a number of decks, like keeper.

Now, i doubt this deck could ever really be close to tier one, but it could swing the meta based on numbers. Or, i should say, it can be expected in more budget oriented metagames. It's one more deck we may have to start expecting in the future. My remedy for keeper in this matchup is moat, which would be friggin great. but that's probably a bad idea, so whateva. Oh, and tog might run 2 deeds main and 1 in the board.

whoa, did i miss something? where did bazaar come into the picture? i must be drunk.

And eh...i dont know about Trash...what does it replace form the list? It should be good in a pinch, but, well...yeah, only one pinch. So, i dunno, there could be something better.

Where does chalice fit in? What does it usually get set to? is that dependent on the matchup, or is 2 the magic number? (Stops drain, many fish, null rod, etc.) I only ask because my ability to playtest is due to my lack of a T1 playtest partner. Philly sucks....

Anyway, this deck is awesome, and i definately want to give it a run...but i think we've heard about the fatties enough though. Time to move on in this thread, i feel.

Hey,

My name is Larry. I am a Mathematics major / athlete at Temple University in Philadelphia, though I am originally from Scranton, PA. Ive been playing since mid-94, but wasn't really serious about the game until 1997; then I stopped playing around Nemesis (mid 2000)? Although I attempted to play some after that, I was completely dissinterested. Then, out of the blue, I got the spark again last spring. I've been playing now since Scourge, and I've been playing some of the best magic of my life.

I enjoy the game more than ever now, I think (haha not sure; it's been fun the whole way). Mirrodin is brillant. My favorite formats are T1 and just about any form of limited except Sealed (I never get good cards!), but I'm up for anything really.

Favorite color is blue, favorite style of play is control, favorite card is Ancestral Recall. Share a set of P9 and drains, moat, abyss, etc. with my brother.

I am searching for that venue in Philly for great magic. It has to exist. If anybody knows a good place let me know.

Love this site!

Thanks,
-Larry
