1  Eternal Formats / Creative / Trying Nether Void one last time. on: September 18, 2004, 10:17:36 pm
Ok, i play sui black (Not as an attempt at a tier 1 deck) its just my favorite decktype, and i developed this same deck from the time when i first started and played royal assasin and icy manipulator...back on topic..I can see you using a juzzi if you have 1, but really unless you expect your opponent to drop soemthing large, a negator will accomplish basically the same thing, just more quickly. O and by the way, Sui black gets raped by control slaver(unless sui gets a very good draw) on average control slaver is just better, and more often than not pulls it out. I would just like to ask what kind of sui deck doesn't run negator or hyppie or sinkhole anymore? I am yet to find cards that are simply better than those three. Also what are peoples thoughts on the possible impact of Wicked Akuba and Cranial Extraction on sui and nether matchups versus control slaver, FCG and others.

3  Vintage Community Discussion / General Community Discussion / New Magic gaming store in Mass on: June 06, 2004, 07:34:21 pm
not yet, it is still small, and needs to have a good player base before there could even be thoguhts of 1, but there are some good t1 players there who love to test their decks out, and it is a great place for casual drafts.

6  Eternal Formats / Miscellaneous / [Discussion] Black Lotus or Mox Sapphire in U/R Fish? on: May 23, 2004, 08:15:01 pm
the welder argument is stronger than you may think at first glance. I have been in this situation many tiumes: I cast a first turn lotus, and sac it for null rod and something else, then my opponent plays a welder, and next turn, my null rod is gone.
7  Vintage Community Discussion / General Community Discussion / 1001 Reason Not To Play Suicide Black on: April 10, 2004, 10:14:36 am
51) only asswholes say sui sucks
8  Eternal Formats / Creative / First shot at TnT' on: April 07, 2004, 01:30:12 pm
you just love trinisphere in general, if this is really a first attempt, then great job, this looks well crafted, it would make an interesting deck, lose the bouncer though.
9  Eternal Formats / Creative / Do we need a Restriction Update? on: April 07, 2004, 01:28:37 pm
hey, i would love it if some important piece of tog was restricted, such as tog itself, it is a hard matchup for me.
10  Eternal Formats / Creative / New Decks Are Hard To Make. on: April 07, 2004, 01:16:35 pm
ps, it does not suck, i have consistently held my ground with it against top tier decks.
11  Eternal Formats / Creative / New Decks Are Hard To Make. on: April 07, 2004, 01:09:28 pm
there is no one real dominant deck in t1, i should know, because i have played against almost all viable one, it is really rock paper scissors in t1, there is no clearcut winner all the time, so it is still ok to make a new deck, because there is not one uber-brocken card that just rapes all other decks, there is a sort of balance. I suggest making a deck that has been stable for years, GOOD sui black, i mean mono color with all the fixins.
12  Eternal Formats / Creative / Proxy Expectations? on: March 31, 2004, 09:36:56 pm
the best way is to take a card, and in black sharpie write a different card name and ability on it.
13  Eternal Formats / Miscellaneous / The Restricted List - literally on: March 31, 2004, 09:29:38 pm
i really think that spiral is not restriction worthy, it is not seeing any play whatsoever, so now lets have a deck with 4 of a card people aren't willing to play 1 of.
14  Eternal Formats / Miscellaneous / Beta Black Lotus on: March 31, 2004, 09:22:24 pm
i know, but most dont get the color right, i have seen my fair share of moxes, and i have noticed that the color is pretty much the same on most of them, so it is fairly easy to spot a fake.
15  Eternal Formats / Creative / Nether Void or Trinisphere. on: March 31, 2004, 09:20:45 pm
yea, i have seen the effects of a void deck before, sui black rapes it though...
16  Eternal Formats / Creative / Nether Void or Trinisphere. on: March 31, 2004, 03:27:19 pm
void is easily the better of the two, i have seen both played, and although i am not a fan of the deck, the void has done better.
17  Eternal Formats / Miscellaneous / Beta Black Lotus on: March 31, 2004, 03:25:35 pm
well actually you can tell if it is true just by the inking on the card, fake ones have a different ink stroke, also the color is almost always off on fake ones.
18  Eternal Formats / Miscellaneous / Beta Black Lotus on: March 30, 2004, 08:44:02 pm
thats one of those things i dont understand, i see people playing with 2000 dollar decks, and beating the crap opur of them when they shuffle, why not shuffle normally, and keep your 2000 dollar deck worth 2000 dollars
19  Eternal Formats / Miscellaneous / Just wondering what people would price this as on: March 30, 2004, 06:23:51 pm
I just aquired an italian Nether Void in ex condition, and i was just wondering hat people on this site value it at. Smile
20  Eternal Formats / Miscellaneous / Beta Black Lotus on: March 30, 2004, 06:18:17 pm
yea, letting somone perform a bend test on a beta lotus, either that guy has some real balls, or has created a very very good fake, i would beat the tar out of anyone who tried to do the bend test on my unlimited Jet. In any case, i have seen preffesionals do the bend test, and it does not damage the card at all, the only way to damage a card doing the bend test is if you do not know how to proper;y do it.
