2  Eternal Formats / Creative / [deck] my view on dragon on: May 19, 2004, 02:57:53 am
1. glimmervoid dont belong in dragon, cuz just jewelry isnt enough to keep it alive

2. why 1 cunning wish?

3. you should have 8-12 reanimation spells, so that a chalice at 2 wont screw u if u had necromancy

4. shivan helkite only works if u have a permant red sorce in play, u basically should take out glimmervoid and put in more duals
another good win condition is caller of the claw because dampling matrix stops, laquatis, sliver queen, shivan helkite and many other creature abillities except for caller of the claw

5. why only 3 bazzar, and 3 squee it would be much more powerful if u had 4 of each

6. you neeeed compulsion and more reanimation spells: animate dead, dance of the dead, necromancy are gud examples

7. one major problem dragon has, is it is highly vulnerable to graveyard hate

does anyone think water front bouncer would work in madness against control?
6  Eternal Formats / Creative / How to stop Control? on: May 18, 2004, 01:57:33 pm
there is one card that can beat massive drawing

CHAINS OF M.

it stops massive draw engines so it saves any deck without massive draw, but then of course it forces you into black

but thats not too bad there is also Sui black to beat the mainstream control decks

another good strategy is to have hate in your sideboard, if you are playing green use cards such as xandid swarm

t 1 doesnt force you to play a deck, there are many ways to win

8  Eternal Formats / Creative / Card discussion : Psychic Venom, new weapon for Landstill ? on: May 18, 2004, 01:48:39 pm
actually if they had control of the board, they would easily take 2 damage.   it is not worth using 8 slots in your maindeck or sideboard, to shutdown landstill, because it is not that much of a threat.

these days "keeper" will run exaulted angel  as their win condition.  The otherday i was playing my friend who did this, and it completely screwed me because the only way i had to remove it was to have a wonder in the graveyard, AND a wurm in play.  or use 2 fiery temper to get rid of it.

is this a problem that many other aggro players run into? any ideas?
10  Eternal Formats / Creative / Second Sunrise Affinity [Deck] on: May 18, 2004, 01:40:41 pm
this idea doesnt work for one reason

if you depend upon one card and u dont get it, you are screwed

its better to just make a focused affinity build
11  Eternal Formats / Creative / Null Rod Vs. Damping Matrix on: April 12, 2004, 02:33:19 am
i may not have been on this site too long, but i know a few things about type 1.
Fact: Null rod is best used when you are playing a mono colored aggro deck, why because it stops the control player from using their extremely broken moxes
Fact: Damping matrix is best used by a control player.  Why? because it won't keep you from using your extremely broken moxes, and you can stop an aggro player, from using their creature abillities
