1  Eternal Formats / Creative / Transcendence + Forsaken Wastes on: June 30, 2009, 08:53:23 pm
This is a deck I played with for a long time several years ago and only recently began playing Magic again.

4 Enlightened Tutor (was 1 till earlier today when I saw that it comes unrestricted tomorrow)
1 Demonic Tutor
1 Demonic Consultation
3 Forsaken Wastes (Correct me if I'm wrong, I own 5, but assumed that I couldn't "wish" for something i already had 4 of in my deck so kept to 3 in the deck)
1 Necropotence (largely used to draw after I have forsaken/transcendence combo in play to kill the opponent faster, also often used as a last attempt if needed late in the game to draw the combo if not already in play, also key to not decking myself with the combo in play due to skipping my draw step)
1 Yawgmoth's Bargain (same as Necropotence)
4 Death Wish (Usually get a forsaken, or transcendence, once in a while I have death wished for a counterspell/iscochron scepter combination when playing against decks with lots of enchantment removal)
4 Golden Wish (Either Forsaken/transcendence or the odd Isochron or other card as needed)
2 Shauku, Endbringer (Large overpowered black creature that causes me to lose 3 life per turn, which is irrelevant, is typically how games are won)
3 Fountain Watch (Used to protect Enchantments)
3 Spiritual Asylum (Primarily to protect Fountain Watch, and thus other enchantments)
4 Terashi's Grasp (Solely used to remove Transcendence if needed to not die if I'm over 20 life for any reason)
4 Scrublands
4 Tainted Field
10 Swamps
8 Plains

5 Creatures
26 Lands
29 Other

Sideboard
3 Isochron Scepters
2 Counterspells
1 Trinisphere
4 Dark Ritual
3 Minion of the Wastes
1 Transcendence
1 Forsaken Wastes

Mainly I'm likely missing useful new cards as I have not bought a single card since the kamigawa block. Open to any and all suggestions, preferably avoiding anything with a ridiculous pricetag (Scrublands-ish price being the limit, no power nine suggestions please)

No mana burn makes a huge difference in one of my decks. I don't use it all that often, but I have a black/white deck that centers on transcendence and forsaken wastes. I usually intentionally mana burn myself before dropping transcendence to get myself farther from 20 as a safety net just incase.
