1  Vintage Community Discussion / Casual Forum / Favorite T4 experience on: February 25, 2005, 11:25:16 am
I can't think of any specific favorite moments.  I always like to see twilights call when phage is in someones graveyard.  Phage is kindof a running joke in my playgroup because i don't think i have ever seen a game where she didn't kill her controller.

The stack my playgroup uses is full of wrath effects and counters.  Because of this Staff/Johnny/Firebreathers are not a problem.  The problem is instant speed X kill spells.  Anyone who uses their spell for the turn is subject to instantly losing the game without any warning unless someone is kind enough to counter or deflect the spell.

Cheatyface is some good fun.  Not necessarily in t4 but for casual in general.  The friday of the release my play group got ahold of a few and because the FAQ wasn't out yet we were playing them from outside of the game, good times.  We did make some house rules like getting caught means no more cheatyfaces until after your next turn and no hiding them behind lands.  They didn't seem to affect the games much besides being chumped to a blastoderm or the like.

Hey, 1st time poster long time reader.  I couldn't wait for someone to post this.  Here's the link if you haven't seen it yet. http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=mtgcom/daily/as41 Is this card to powerful for t4?  Not only is this thing a game winner on its own but has great synergy with bosh, karn and artifact mutation.  I'm thinking this is way too overpowered even for a format like t4 unless there was a draft pile designed to accomodate it.  Someone would have to be holding a counter at all times.  If nothing else it becomes a pseudo dampning matrix.  What do you guys think?
