As for the start time on Tuesdays I understand the sentiment, but unfortunately starting any later would be the event could potentially run past the stores closing which is way later than I want to be there

Hello all!

If you've been paying attention you saw that I had something in the works for 2016 vintage @ Pandemonium.  Well this is the first step of that vision. A Monthly Vintage event on the weekend!

A lot of people have complained/mentioned that getting into Cambridge on a Tuesday night for our regular weekly events is too difficult.

So, in the interest of getting more people playing more vintage, I will be attempting to get a monthly Vintage event scheduled 1 Saturday a month.

That said, the store is hesitant to promise space every month so I will be scheduling these on a month by month basis to ensure no conflicts with the stores other events.

I will be there around 330 as usual with commander in case anyone wants to jam.  Otherwise I'm ready for some vintaging

Definitely planning to be there for this.

Not that I can knock you for this, as I know venues are expensive, but given the turnout at last years event, is Brother's Grim going to be able to fit all those people?

For what it's worth, the Manchester store is staying open.

I spoke with a few of the Myriad regulars this past weekend, and received confirmation from Ben the Salem store manager that they are closing the other two locations to refocus on the Manchester store. 

Not that I would be super excited to drive the extra distance to Manchester every month, but hopefully they will continue the vintage events at that location.

Honestly I think this is likely just to save face on WoTCs side.  This is not the first time I have heard of an event organizer receiving this type of message. 

Most likely what happened was, somehow or another the fact that this store was running a proxy event got broadcast publicly and that information/broadcast was brought to Wizards attention.  Once this happens the Wizards legal team most likely is required to send some sort of notice to tell the store to stop else it would look bad for their policy enforcement.

If I recall correctly the NYSE crew (Coss and Detwiler) received a similar such notice a year or two ago.

fix'd that for you.  Kidding aside, despite getting destroyed in the two matches I played, I was very happy to see such a great turn out.  I will hopefully come better prepared to win next time.

And henceforth that shall be it's name.

I will be in attendance for this!  Can't wait to bring my spicy list.

Due to the lack of attendance at these last year, I am going to forgo trying to run them.  In it's place keep your eye out for something new for 2016

The New Year is upon us, and with it the return of weekly vintage.  I will be back at the shop tomorrow evening to run the event.  Hope to see everyone there ready to go!  I know I have a spicy list ready to roll!

It did not.  Given the recent decline in interest for these events, I am likely going to stop running them for the time being and try and re-think the strategy.

Quick question about proxies, how strict are we being?  Do I need to remove my paper slips or do we not care?

Having watched the list in the top 8, it was certainly more powerful and resilient than I would have thought, and really fun to watch.

Just an update, I apologize for not getting the TO report up yet, but this week has been a bit crazy.  I promise I will have it up this weekend at the latest.

Having talked to you about this yesterday I am going to do my best to make it to this one.  Always glad to see more TO's supporting our wonderful format.
