Just wanted to say that I was really impressed with the professionalism of this event. I always find it's a delicate balance with vintage as a) a lot of the crowd doesn't really travel to PTQs or anything and therefore aren't used to tournaments at a competitive REL or aren't familiar with what that implies and b) the event itself is unsanctioned and puts a lot of power in the TO's discretion as opposed to the letter of WOTC law.
One of my frustrations with vintage events is the tension between wanting to the respect the more casual/friendly nature of the community as a whole, but also expecting rules/procedures to be enforced at a level commiserate with the prize support offered/entry fee paid.
ANYway - I just mean to say I really appreciated the reviewing of deck lists, random deck checks, making sure people were properly de-sideboarded in the top 8 matches, urging players to make a decision when time was an issue, etc.
