1  Vintage Community Discussion / Community Introductions / Re: Lists of Stores and People by State/Province on: September 21, 2010, 10:39:42 pm
anyone play in indy i have space to host small events if theres any players close .  im on the south east corner of indianapolis a small town called shelbyville we have about 6 regulars without proxies and a small prowy enviorment too but weve all played together for years with no change looking to expand and incorporate new players. any word would be appreciated

My friends and I have recently picked up vintage and live on the west side of Indianapolis, probably around 45 minutes drive from you. It sounds like our play group is about the same size as yours, so maybe we could put them together and organize something at either location, although from the sound of it our space is larger.

Good thing they're printing Tunnel Ignus!

While I'm sure this was sarcastic and just sort of off, it does lend to an interesting take.

IF gush becomes rampant in more than one archetype, I could easily see some sort of deck with red mana using this as blanket-hate that also turns sideways. It passes the clock test and could possibly be relevant against nearly all non-dredge/shops decks, especially decks packing lots of jace/cobra/sorcery speed stuff.

I have to say that this was one of the best events I have attended in a while, even though I misplayed multiple games that I won anyway and mulliganed into oblivion no less than four times. The people were great and the competition was definitely heavy, and watching two of my friends top 8 their first ever vintage tournament was certainly worth my pitiful 2-3 finish.

I (we) plan to be back as many times as funds and time allow.
