Bargain #2-5. Yeah, i like this. Can defenetly see a more black-based version
2  Vintage Community Discussion / General Community Discussion / Re: Vintage Super League: Who Would You Like to See? on: November 30, 2015, 08:25:33 pm
fabiano is messing it up. Why is he even in qualifier?

Reid did awesome on commentary.

WIsh brassman was in qualifier.

I like nick's workshop list much better then ochoas. 8 sphere seems like a must vs all the mentor/pyromancer decks and metalworker seems lackluster.

Shame we didnt get to see sams deck in action.

Fun fact: I thought the list I submitted did have 8.

No wonder there was so much room for everything else. Although I disagree about Metalworker.

What would you cut in order to have both metalworkers and 8sphere?
3  Eternal Formats / Ritual-Based Combo / Re: GiftsBond - 9th Place MTGO P9 Challenge on: November 26, 2015, 12:10:53 pm
Birds,

Your post has inspired me to set up a stream.  I'm still working out the bugs, but if I can get everything panned out by Saturday, I'll stream the tournament. Here's my channel: http://www.twitch.tv/shawnthehero

Vault Key can be good in these kinds of decks but I've chosen to exclude it.  The reason is because I like having as few dead draws as possible.  Cutting BSC for Time Vault is definitely a consideration though.

Another reason for the exclusion of Vault Key is Null Rod/Stony Silence.

Super excited about this!  Haven't seen a good gush-bond deck in ages beeing streamed, so looks like brassman & Rich got some competition!

Also, since you already play a BSC, another one in the board might be worth it vs the painters.
Maybe even illness to combat mentor/pyro infested online-meta.

A note on twitch:  There should be a button which you have to click which says something like "save broadcast" or simular. Othervise streams wont be saved and i know alot of people in europe would be happy since event goes through all night.
4  Eternal Formats / Ritual-Based Combo / Re: GiftsBond - 9th Place MTGO P9 Challenge on: November 25, 2015, 04:10:49 pm
Should stream this deck in saturdays megatournament.

Is vault key not good in those kind of decks? Seems to draw alot of cards.

Good players? Yes ofc.     But there is so many untapped talents which would bring alot of good stuff. Now we only get one. Time for some refreshments.
7  Vintage Community Discussion / General Community Discussion / Re: Vintage Super League: Who Would You Like to See? on: November 23, 2015, 06:14:03 pm
i dont understand why you wont change more ppl in the league. change 1 guy, really?

No one likes tom martell for example. Annoying, whiny and borign.

Reid duke should get an auto invite.

Bring in some new blood! yes VSL is fun, but its getting a bit tedious with the SAME people for the 4th season.

Also, Sam black, who's a know brewer, should also get invited. Im sure he could spice it up.

Haven't listened to this podcast yet, but i'm already excited for the next one. Can't wait for you to bite into the bannings and new TFK decks!
9  Eternal Formats / General Strategy Discussion / Re: NEW TMD LOGO on: September 30, 2015, 04:19:38 pm
Yes, strategy indeed...  {Tap}

Thank you for the great insights.
10  Eternal Formats / General Strategy Discussion / Re: NEW TMD LOGO on: September 30, 2015, 04:11:41 pm
None of the admin/mod staff have any control over this. We're not allowed to manage the forum software. The old version appears to have become entirely inoperable and now this is what we have. I have no power to modify this, sadly.

That's a shame.  Who is it that run's TMD?  Is it a TMD user or are "we" owned by a big corp?
11  Eternal Formats / General Strategy Discussion / NEW TMD LOGO on: September 30, 2015, 01:23:59 pm
Why did you change to an ugly-ass logo, instead of the old, goodlooking one.

I would propose a change to the old one.
12  Eternal Formats / Blue-Based Control / Re: Mono Blue Control on: September 28, 2015, 03:55:08 pm
so post chalice/TFK changes, i hope we'll see more MUC.  Does the deck want TFKs?
13  Vintage Community Discussion / General Community Discussion / Re: Magic Online Power Nine Owners on: February 21, 2015, 07:36:16 am
Hopefully we can see more stax/gifts the upcoming weeks. I'd love to see something like the B/R bazaar stax.  (preferable something with at least smokestack and welders)
14  Vintage Community Discussion / General Community Discussion / Re: Vintage Super League on: August 27, 2014, 12:38:58 pm
Hopefully someone plays UW/Landstill/MUC the following rounds.  This is fantastic btw.
15  Vintage Community Discussion / General Community Discussion / Re: Vintage Super League on: August 20, 2014, 02:55:33 pm
Great initiative! It would be nice if players streamed on their own, instead of showing both players via cam.

I think doing it this way, would provide much higher quality coverage than both players chit-chatting, because of:
1) beeing able to view the players hand
2) the player beeing able to chat and reasoning about his plays.
16  Vintage Community Discussion / General Community Discussion / Re: Is anyone steaming vintage on MODO? on: July 25, 2014, 07:29:09 am
thank you.

i noticed that two of my videos disappeared from the "past broadcasts" section.  how long does twitch archive?  Only a week or a few days?  That's terrible.

If I remember right the default is a week, there is an option somewhere in there to make it longer (not sure if it goes to forever though).  Many people upload to youtube for archival purposes.

I belive you can save for a long time... Some streamers have videos that are like a year back (at least).... Shame they got deleted.
17  Vintage Community Discussion / General Community Discussion / Re: Is anyone steaming vintage on MODO? on: July 24, 2014, 01:54:19 am
I'm streaming.  I set my stream to archive, so I've archived about a half dozen games.  I'm not on very often though.

http://www.twitch.tv/smmenen

thanks for doing this. Love the stream.
18  Eternal Formats / Online Tournaments / Re: Magic Online Vintage Premiere Event, July 13th (Possibly First Ever!) on: July 09, 2014, 05:59:45 am
It would be awesome if people streamed this..
19  Eternal Formats / General Strategy Discussion / Re: Perilous Vault on: June 26, 2014, 03:13:40 pm
So it's an oblivion stone for 1 more mana that exiles instead of destroys. How much play has oblivion stone seen in vintage?  Next!
20  Eternal Formats / General Strategy Discussion / Re: Avarice Amulet on: June 19, 2014, 11:53:51 am
Awful..  Just play SOFI for cheaper/better effect
21  Vintage Community Discussion / Community Introductions / Re: TMD on MODO on: June 04, 2014, 05:24:57 am
I would be interested in picking up MODO, however since i use IOS, i wonder how fellow mac-users solve it? Is running boot-camp (which im not really that interested in) the only solution?
22  Vintage Community Discussion / General Community Discussion / Re: Your Favorite Magic Card & Why (list no more than 3) on: June 04, 2014, 02:45:45 am
#1 Upheaval
#2 Wildfire
#3 Balance

As you can see, i enjoy cards that wrecks the balance and keep players honest. I also play alot of multiplayer free-for-all, which all of the cards above makes me an attractive target.

Should i keep the lands and creatures in hand due to beeing afraid of balance? Float 15 mana, upheaval, trinisphere!
Wildfire is fantastic since i tend to play dragons (e.g. covetous, thundermaw) so it's basically an one-sided (n-1 in multiplayer Very Happy) Wrath of God.

23  Eternal Formats / General Strategy Discussion / Re: [CNS] Council's judgement on: May 23, 2014, 07:22:03 am
It says nothing about things with the same name...

You vote for a permanent, e.g. it wont matter if there is multiples onlines with the same name.

IMO, its not only about being able to call the plays but also about being interesting and engaging

I know I'm the one griping, but you're right and I'd take that trade (interesting>informed) too.

I must ask, why forgotten ancient?
25  Eternal Formats / Eternal Article Discussion / Re: [Free Article] Steel City Vault Re-Unleashed on: August 13, 2013, 07:01:52 am
Loved it. Play-by-play articles are the 2nd best format (next to video-coverage).

Wouldn't it be possible to do Vintage games, like the SCG do Standard/legacy testing? I'm sure it would be appreciated.
26  Eternal Formats / Global Vintage Tournament Reports and Results / Re: Eudemonia July Results! Lists! Pics! on: July 29, 2013, 06:39:17 pm

28  Eternal Formats / Eternal Article Discussion / Re: [Free Article] Vintage Matchup: MUD Vs. UW Landstill on: November 13, 2012, 06:03:54 am
amazing read. Those vintage matchup articles (play by play) are my favourite read.

Smemnen, is there a reason why old content (at least ~1-3 months) isn't free?

I buy articles from time to time, and i found an old article, buy paying 5 bucks for half a year old article doesn't makes sense to me.

I haven't listened to it yet, but with almost 3 hours of vintage it can't be anything but awesome!
