COMBO PIECES 4 Illusionary Mask 4 Phyrexian Dreadnought 3 Volrath's Shapeshifter 1 Squee, Goblin Nabob 4 Survival of the Fittest SILVER BULLETS 1 Phage the Untouchable 1 Rith, The Awakener 2 Meddling Mage 1 Flowstone Hellion 1 Tradewind Rider 1 Genesis UTILITY 4 Force of Will 4 Brainstorm 2 Impulse 4 Swords to Plowshares ACCEL/LANDS 4 Birds of Paradise 2 Qurion Ranger 3 Windswept Heath 1 Wooded Foothills 4 Wasteland/City of Brass 4 Tropical Island 4 Savannah 2 Forest
SIDE BOARD 1 Masticore 1 Plaguebearer 2 Xantid Swarm 1 Gilded Drake 4 Counterspell 4 Naturalize 2 Herkyll's Recall
This deck is 1.5 constructed.
I have always liked Mask decks but I wanted to use a deck that could make decent creatures that I like good. That in mind I chose Venguer Mask.
The Combo Pieces- Mask+Dreadnought is how I usually win, Survival lets me get Bullets in my grave to feed Shifter while I search for more Bullets. Phage-Use her w/ the Shifter in case I need someone or something dead right now. Rith-This guy is a beater that I can use to make tokens for more fun w/ Tradewind Rider. Mage-Usually just play out right to stop cards that may cause problematic situations. Hellion-Use w/ Shifter: swing, pump +11/-11, discard Dreadnought, say hi to a 23/1 Trampleing friend. Rider-I use this little guy to lock down anything I don't like. I often use his effect multiple times w/ Quirion Ranger. Genesis-This is used to help get cards I discarded back so I can use them over again w/ the Shapeshifter, also gets Shapeshifter back if he gets killed.
Masticore-deal with weenies and goblins Plaguebearer-Deal with man lands mostly Xantid Swarm-Try to stop blue from stopping a Mask from getting through. Gilded Drake-Mask it if I need something, or get my something big I can't deal w/ right away. Counterspell-Use it incase I need less Creature control through StP and more control. Naturalize-basic enchantment/artifact hate Recall-incase I run into an artifact heavy deck: Affinity, Workshop, etc.

This is a deck I have been running in Casual T1 since 5d was realesed around some other boards it's been called CoW Pox. I would suggest to balance out a lack of draw I use in mine w/ Chains of Mephistopheles.
For reference here is my list.
WIN CONDITIONS 1 Nether Spirit 3 Chimeric Idol CONTROL/DISRUPTION 4 Pox 2 Death Cloud 4 Vindicate 4 Duress 3 Cabal Therapy 1 Balance DRAW/TUTOR 1 Demonic Tutor 1 Demonic Consultation 1 Entomb 1 Yawgmoth's Will UTILITY 2 The Abyss 2 Chains of Mephistopheles 3 Crucible of Worlds ACCEL/LANDS 4 Dark Ritual 4 Wasteland 1 Strip Mine 7 Swamp 3 Tainted Plains 4 Cave of Koilos 4 Scabland

Zaolac, Tranquil Evil 4BG Creature-Minion Druid Legend 4/5 This card may not be the target of spells or abilities. Zaolac, Tranquil Evil cannot attack unless you pay 4 life. BBG:Zaolac, Tranquil Evil gains Shadow until the end of the turn. "My past is stained in blood, my soul is filled with sorrow, my mind is consumed by shadows, but my body will remain in peace."
Yes I am still trying to get this to work well.
The flavor has been changed to reflect each ability: 1st ability=last part 2nd ability=second part 3rd ability=third part

As I stated I don't live in a competitive area. Not a single person in my area owns Mana Drain and nowone plays Disk and only 1 deck plays Deed.
This deck has been tested but I said that the only deck that I have trouble against is a deck buily completely around killing artifacts.
And with the cards I mentioned were just cards that I came across while going through my box of cards and seemed like they would be decent.

I thought of a new cards to put in to give me another win condition and since I can make the mana to abuse them, I was thinking of putting in Stroke of Genius or Brain Geyser.
More of less I already have 2 Metal Workers(Academy) so I could switch out CotV and put in 1 more Worker and add two Crucibles of the World or 2 Staffs of Domination.

Abyssal Dragon 5BB Creature-Dragon Horror 5/4 Flying BBBB tap: Destroy target creature. It can't be regenerated. "It guards a treasure that needs no guarding." -Zaolac
I like oldschool cards being reincarnated into crappy creatures. I like this one less then Mephisto's.

Beconer of Mephisto 3B 2/2 Creature-Cleric Whenever a player draws a card outside of their draw phase they lose 1 life. "He follows his master so closely he has become a chain to bind those blind to his masters truth." - Zaolac
Not great but fun. What are the odds that it would fit perfectly w/ Chains of Mephistopheles?

I made some of the changes you said they seem to be sound. The other topic was locked b/c lack of substance, so I put more into why I use the cards that I do and what deck I have problems against.
I was thinking of including Winter Orb but I'm probably not with all the lockdown I do to them. What do y'all think.
EDIT: I was looking through some of my artifacts for ideas and I ran across a possibility- Staff of Domination. I can make the mana to abuse it. Would it fit into the deck?

Fatties 2 Sundering Titan 1 Karn, Silver Golem Draw/Tutor 3 Meditate 1 Windfall 1 Ancestral Recall 1 Timetwister 1 Tinker 1 Wheel of Fortune 1 Memory Jar Utility 4 Goblin Welder 4 Smokestack 4 Tangle Wire 4 Trinisphere 3 Chalice of the Void Artifact Acceleration 7 SoLoMoxen 1 Mana Crypt 1 Mana Vault 1 Grim Monolith 3 Gilded Lotus Land Wasteland x4 Stripmine x1 Tolarian Academy x1 Shivan Reef x4 Volcanic Island x3 Mishra's Workshop x4
SIDE BOARD 1 Darksteel Colossus 4 Masticore 4 Juggernaut 3 Thirst for Knowledge 3 Crucible of Worlds
This is my T1 deck. I have been experimenting with Prison decks and this is my current incarnation of a combonation of Stax and 7/10.
My meta is pretty weak so this deck owns almost all of the decks in my area. The only deck that I have trouble against is a 3cc that runs a major amount of artifact hate(Shatter,Shatterstorm,Rack and Ruin, and Pillage).
Sundering Titan:I run this as a beatstick and land denial Memnarch:I chose to run this over Karn b/c I can take the crappier cards of theirs to make them sacrifice their better cards to Smokestack and so I can sacrifice them. Meditate:This card allows me to dig into my deck while also avoiding Smokestack and Tangle Wire while also keeping counters on the Wire. Draw 7s:These are there to help me dig through my deck to get to kill cards while keeping my opponent's hand unstable. Goblin Welder:This guy is just obvious. Sac return, repeat. Smokestack, Wire, Sphere, CotV:The main part of the deck. They won't be able to keep anything in play and if they do it taps. Sphere is not a must I am thinking of going back to Sphere of Resistance. Chalice is going to stop them from playing stuff if they get the mana. Tolarian Academy:This will let me power out a huge Memnarch jacking.
Clockwork Dragon:This guy is a big evasive beater. If he runs out of counters I'll weld him. Masticore:By by Decree soldiers, goblin, weenies, and if I use enough mana big crap. TfK:This can be put in to help get a beater in faster and easier. Oh and draw cards. Mindslaver:This will give me complete control over what my opponent sacs instead of just partial control through Memnarch. Jester's Cap:I can take out silver bullets or big threats with this funny guy.
EDIT: I changed the sb over so I can switch the deck to completely 7/10 deck instead of a combination of stax and 7/10.

I thought that I had explained the reasoning behind Zaolac's effects enough but here goes.
Zaolac was once a powerful evil, but after years of slaughtering innocents and murdering knights saw that he was a monster and fled to the deepest forest. He sits in a deep tangling maze in silence trying to repent for his past evils. Zaolac believed that if he surrounded himself with silence and tranquility he would be forgiven. So he will defend the silence by any means needed.

I have changed the card almost completly and I really like this version.
I think it shows blacks williness to do anything to get what it wants and having to pay for power.
The tranquillity is shown in not allowing creatures to disturb it.(first ability, shadow)

Zaolac, Tranquil Evil 5BG Creature-Minion Druid Legend 3/8 Creature spells may not be played. Zaolac, Tranquil Evil cannot attack unless you pay 3 life. GGGBBB: Zaolac, Tranquil Evil gets +3/+3 and gains shadow until the end of the turn. "My past evils are to great I must repent in silence. My soul lies in the deepest of brush where any who enter are soon feed for the trees."
In my opinion this version is better. It can be used as a blocker or if you need a finish he's a beatstick to.[/b]

In the 7/10 deck I was playtesting I used Winter Orb, 4 Glimmervoids, and I also ran Panoptic Mirror to use the spells like Tinker over and over again.
Just my input.

Win cards 2 Sundering Titan 1 Memnarch Draw/Tutor 4 Meditate 1 Ancestral Recall 1 Timetwister 1 Tinker 1 Memory Jar 1 Wheel of Fortune Utility 4 Goblin Welder 4 Smokestack 4 Tangle Wire 4 Sphere of Resistance 3 Chalice of the Void Mana Accel 1 Black Lotus 5 Moxen 1 Sol Ring 1 Mana Vault 1 Mana Crypt 1 Grim Monolith 2 Gilded Lotus Land 3 Wasteland 1 Stripmine 1 Tolarian Academy 2 Polluted Delta 3 Shivan Reef 4 Volcanic Island 4 Mishra's Factory
SB: 3 Masticore SB: 1 Triskelion SB: 4 Fire/Ice SB: 2 Crucible of Worlds SB: 2 Mindslaver SB: 3 Jester's Cap
This is my first try at a T1 deck. I have been working on this deck for about 3 weeks. I have a pretty weak meta game so I want to see how this deck would work in a good meta.
Titan: This may make it seem like a 7/10 deck but it works really well in here and helps against the current best deck in my area(5 Color Control). Memnarch:I chose this card over Karn because I can take their crappier cards so they have to sac their better cards to Smokestack, and I can then sac what I take. Meditate:Pretty obvious. I draw and get to skip my turns to ovoid a massive Smokestack and keep fade counters on Tangle Wire.
Masticore and Triskelion:These are here to give a bigger advantage against White Weenie and Goblin decks. Jester's Cap:Take out silverbullets. Mindslaver:Screw them over more than I already am.
