1  Vintage Community Discussion / Non-Vintage / Re: TML Open 3 - Stratford, CT. - November 3,4 2007 on: August 30, 2007, 06:43:33 pm
Awesome Ray! And I can make this one for sure!

The last TML was a good time, cant complain about how it went, hopefully word will spread out and we will have more players this time. How many were at the last one? Decklists were never posted on SCG.

I personally mailed decklists to Anusien and he confirmed that he received them back in May.  He failed to post them on SCG.

luke_twigger did you lose to UWB Fish?  That's how I'm reading it.  I'm wondering how?  Your creatures are better and I think your disruption is better and Dystopia out of the board is amazing.  What happened?  Congrats on your Top8 and I hope you liked the deck.  What made you choose it?

Thanks for the info.

Will Top8 decklists be posted for this tournament?  This would help in posting the results for the historical Top8 thread.

Once again goblins proves it is the best deck in the format.  I'm naturally curious about the iggy deck day two, was it a traditional build or were there some noticable deviations from my list?

I imagine that lists will be up soon, but just to let you know.  The only main difference was

-4 Leyline of the Void

+4 Xantid Swarm

in the main.  This is very similar to what Krieger and I have been working on in Northern Virginia where Solidarity is everywhere and playing Iggy in that environment is very tough.

Great report Machinus and nice hanging out with you again.
6  Vintage Community Discussion / Non-Vintage / Re: [Report] IGGy-Pop - Top 8 Legacy World Championship 2006 on: August 15, 2006, 02:21:59 pm
sideboard against solidarity:

-4 cabal ritual
-3 Intuition
-1 mystical
-1 Echoing truth
+3 In the Eye of Chaos
+2 Gae's Blessing
+4 Xantid swarm

In the eye works because it doesn't shut down the infernal + LED + LED combo at all, dark rit stays in because it still nets mana under in the eye and accels it out.  So your whole plan is to disrupt them with xantid, leyline, igg and ITEOC then win with infernal + LED.  The blessings are there to keep them from winning in response to a turn 4+ eye of chaos.

I never had cause to use this during the tournament.

Consider yourself lucky that you didn't play against Solidarity.  It isn't a pretty sight.  Did you test your board against Solidarity in testing?  I would be interested to see how the results came out.
7  Vintage Community Discussion / Non-Vintage / Re: [Announcement] July 8 & 9 Richmond, VA Star City Back-to-Back "Duel for Dual on: May 30, 2006, 02:11:44 pm
Okay is anyone else from Ohio or reasonably close to Cincinnati going to this?  I really want to go but don't feel like making the drive/paying for a hotel room on my own.

As a side note apparently some of the Syracuse players are suppose to be coming to this in addition to the many Virginia players that will definitely be showing up.  Perhaps this event can hit the 100 person mark with people coming from so many areas.
