1  Eternal Formats / Northeast U.S. / Re: [PANDEMONIUM] Weekly Tuesday Night Vintage on: December 29, 2014, 04:04:13 pm
I'll be around tomorrow night fwiw if there was some concern as to attendance.

Love Grudzina's deck, better get your notion thieves/RIPs ready for champs.
3  Eternal Formats / Global Vintage Tournament Reports and Results / Re: [TO Report] Vintage 1k at Pandemonium (9-6-14) on: September 16, 2014, 02:03:33 pm
Thanks for running this event, I had a great time visiting Boston for the weekend and getting to play Vintage.  Unfortunately my personal experience was almost a comedy of errors; a late T caused me nearly get a game loss for a late decklist, and then actually get a game loss for forgetting Sol Ring due to my haste to complete the decklist.  I'll make every effort to be better prepared ahead of time in the future.

Can't wait for the next one!
That's not as bad as Cuenca, who didn't know the name of the black mox and ended up registering an Opal instead of a Jet in his BUG list (yet still top 8ed, because Nicolas Cucino doesn't lose matches of magic)
4  Eternal Formats / Northeast U.S. / Re: [Boston] 9/6/14 Vintage at Pandemonium on: September 05, 2014, 03:03:28 pm
I hope irate Landstill guy shows up again and I beat his face in... again. (Nice Grim Lavamancer bro - check out my 3/4).

I hope someone takes out that beyond sleazy Merfolk player who kept shuffling people's deck for them and looking at the cards while doing it.
Big sleazy and his questionable judge calls
5  Eternal Formats / Northeast U.S. / Re: TMD Open 16 - Milford, CT - August 23, 2014 on: August 26, 2014, 12:20:46 pm
I played forgemasters and lost to Will's terra nova in the quarters. Felt like a considerable dog in the heads up, and had to work an unorthodox sideboard plan to make up for it. Unfortunately, none of the sideboard cards ever came up and I got crushed g2/3 after stealing g1
6  Vintage Community Discussion / General Community Discussion / Re: Vote for Team New England for the Grudge Match 2014! on: July 31, 2014, 05:38:35 pm
Voting for the following:

-Taylor Pratt: New England's rep in 2013 vintage champs t8, also cashed GP Boston-Worster on -1 byes because he's a very good player
-John Lessard: for various reasons including but not limited to grudge match results
-Ben Feingersh: because obvious reasons, but if you need tournament results I've finished t8 or better in all the irrelevant 40-odd player pandemonium events in the last 2-3 years
7  Eternal Formats / Northeast U.S. / Re: [Rhode Island] Unlimited Proxy Tournament for a Library on: May 11, 2014, 07:56:38 pm
This was a great success!  17 players.  A lot of familiar faces.  Can't wait for the next one!

P.S.  Courser Gush is really good.

Who won??
Adam Gaudreau won with merfolk, I got 2nd with BUG. Rest of the field was creature/blue heavy with Probasco playing shops and one guy on affinity, no bazaars.

Anyone driving down to this from Boston have car space?
9  Eternal Formats / Northeast U.S. / Re: [Boston] Pandemonium NYSE II Qualifier / Power Tournament on: April 21, 2014, 09:52:46 pm
Its like dredge is the new shops here.  How many dredge decks were there?  I feel like its a high number.

I played against Dredge rounds 1 and 2, but never saw anyone else playing it personally. The deck that stood out to me as being very well represented was BUG. There were also quite a few UW Tempo-Control style decks at the top tables, though that's a very vague description as they were all pretty different from one another.
BUG felt solid as usual, but sometimes you get got by combat tricks in eternal formats and your true-name gets bopped by orzhov pontiff
10  Eternal Formats / Northeast U.S. / Re: [Boston] Pandemonium NYSE II Qualifier / Power Tournament on: April 20, 2014, 01:47:35 pm
Solid turnout yesterday, would love to see this turn into a monthly or bi-monthly thing.
11  Eternal Formats / Northeast U.S. / Re: [Jan 19 2014] Vintage for Power at Pandemonium on: January 20, 2014, 12:02:52 am
Top 8:
Sean Stanley (Merfolk) def. Ben Feingersh (Oath/Burning Long)
Marco Farrugia (BUG) def. Chris Ferry (Grixis I think)
Caleb Neufeld (Dredge) def. Jon Shunamon (UW Angels)
Jesse Martin (TPS) def. Bobby Fortanely (Dredge)

Top 4:
Marco def. Sean
Jesse def. Caleb

Top 2:
Marco def. Jesse

Craig will have a full report with lists and stuff soon

Nice job Greg.
13  Eternal Formats / Global Vintage Tournament Reports and Results / Re: [TO Report] Boston NYSE Qualifier and Mox Event on: May 27, 2013, 04:25:35 pm
Solid turnout despite the holiday weekend, hopefully we can make this a more regular thing in the area. Loved my deck despite just missing top 8, feeling very salty not making the cut and probably going to make the trek to NYSE now to run it back.
14  Eternal Formats / Northeast U.S. / Re: [BOSTON] N.Y.S.E Open Qualifier - Guaranteed Jet and Twister 5/26/13 on: May 27, 2013, 09:27:33 am
T8 was:

Alex Brown (BUG Aggro) def. Craig Masley (Show/Oath)
Marco Farrugia (BUG Aggro, 73ish cards similar) def. Chris Ferry (Doomsday)
Eric Dupuis (Bomberman? Not sure on this one) def. Dave Goscinak (5c Shops)
Bobby Fortanely (Dredge) def. Brian Matthew (Shops)

Bobby def. Alex, Marco def. ELD

Bobby and Marco split the finals with Bobby getting the invite.

Craig probably will have a more thorough writeup with lists and such coming soon.

Probably some shitty creature deck, I haven't decided what I'm playing.
16  Eternal Formats / Northeast U.S. / Re: Myriad Games Vintage - Saturday, September 8th, 2012 on: September 11, 2012, 12:59:24 pm
Top 4 was Craig Dupre (Griselbrand? Oath), Warren Connell (Jace control), Jesse Martin (TPS) and Ben Feingersh/myself (RUG Delver)

Sorry if there's a more specific name for Warren and Craig's decks, I'm not too well-versed in vintage archetypes Sad It was a sweet tournament though, I'll definitely be back for more next month!
17  Eternal Formats / Northeast U.S. / Re: Tuesday Night Vintage at Pandemonium! on: March 27, 2012, 07:31:48 am
Cool, I think I'll come by.
18  Eternal Formats / Northeast U.S. / Re: Vintage for duals at Pandemonium! 3/24 on: March 25, 2012, 12:36:07 pm
Thanks for all that came out today!  It was a great event and a lot of fun.  Hoping to have more like this in the future.

Some big changes are coming to Boston Vintage so stay tuned!
Cool.

Thanks for running this Gavin, it was pretty well run (delays in round 1 that affected only me were unfortunate). I learned a bunch and know some changes I want to make to my list, and I'm excited to run it back next month. Hopefully I won't lose right outside of prizes, lol.
19  Eternal Formats / Northeast U.S. / Re: Vintage at Pandemonium! Cambridge MA, 5/22 on: May 23, 2011, 07:40:41 pm
Scrubbed out (probably could have won against Dredge in rd 3 if I had read my cards and thought out of the box a little) but it was super fun! Thanks for running these Gavin.

Also, shoutouts to the gigantic 12 man cube draft afterwords. That was great.
20  Eternal Formats / Northeast U.S. / Re: Vintage at Pandemonium! Cambridge MA, 4/03 on: April 05, 2011, 08:21:19 am
I was playing Cobra Storm, but you probably couldn't tell because I never actually cast a Tendrils. I almost did it once, but I forgot how Mystical Tutor worked :/

Anyway, had a lot of fun at this and I'll try to make it to the next one.
