why did you stopped playing vial? imean that if you  change them for moxen you will be really in bad position for playing a 0 chalice.
3  Eternal Formats / Miscellaneous / Re: Black Fish on: September 17, 2005, 07:21:21 pm
i also think coretapper could be a good inclusion in this deck. With it you could pump up vial, jitte, an also chalices. corretapper fits really well in the curve ( cost 2) so it could be ''viald'' easilly. corretapper could also be usefull vs opponents chalices. You simply add counters to opponents chalices in order to counter his own spells.

i have a few questions about the deck.

1.why not playing necroptence? itseems to me that with dark rituals and chains it could be good.
2. did you saw te card in the new ravnica set : dark confident?

dark confident
1B
at the begginning of your uppkeep reveal the first card of your librairy. put this card into your hand and looselife equal to the cards converterted mana cost.
2-1

this cards also fits the curve ( so could be viald easilly. it has a decent power ( 2 for 1b) an gets youcards without triggering the chains ability.

5  Eternal Formats / Miscellaneous / [Strategy] Sideboarding Fish: what play and side in Vs Oath on: February 19, 2005, 09:39:59 pm
I hearded about karakas

karakas- legendary land

Tap to add a white mana to your mana pool our return target legend to its owner hand

With this land we can return akroma and pirit of the night to the hand. I think it's better than maze of ith because it produce mana and it's better to return a creature to the hand than just tap it...

The addition of both black and red would be bad IMHO, sure you get two nice tutors, but you get fairly weaker manabase for it. It really depends on who you are. Vindicate is nice for more kill cards, but usually you can hate out anything that hits the board. If I were to go with black my card choices would include tutors and Duress, and probably not more.

i dont aggree with that point. you only have to put let's say 1-3 scrubland and a few swamps that you will be able to fetch with tax. With more tutors you get the bullets you need early and make you win more games.

why not splash black with red...

you gain access to good tutors ( demonic & vampiric)
vindicate( always good to kill a little thing)

pack a half set of wastes + crucible ( always good)

I tried the eternal dragon and it worked really well. It gives you land in game beggining and later you put it into play and kill with it.

here is a decklist i made a few months ago.

1 Strip Mine
        1 Wooded Foothills
        3 Forest
        3 Island
        4 Flooded Strand
        4 Tropical Island
        4 Wasteland
        1 Lotus Petal
        1 Mox Sapphire
        1 Sol Ring
        1 Squee, Goblin Nabob
        3 waterfront bouncer
        3 Arrogant Wurm
        4 Basking Rootwalla
        4 Elvish Spirit Guide
        4 Wild Mongrel
        4 Survival of the Fittest
        4 Brainstorm
        4 Daze/manaleak
        4 Force of Will
        2 Deep Analysis
SB:  1 Stifle
SB:  1 Wonder
SB:  3 Oxidize
SB:  3 Null Rod
SB:  1 Naturalize
SB:  3 Gilded Drake
SB:  1 Genesis
SB:  2 Chill

It,s a more control version. In this version I play survival wich is a good draw/discard engine. It also give me access to my toolbox. There's a lot of things i would change. I would add a few waterfront, drop some guilded drake, drop aquamoeba.

I dont understand why you play AK in a deck where you dont play intuition!

I think InTuiTion could be a good add-in in the deck. It would helps the draw engine, could tutor answer at instant speed ( FOW, Drain, morphling...wathever U want...). It would be also a good way to spend mana from drains.

Another thing I would add is thinker. tinker+ colossus. ( no need to explain here.

crucible of world could be a great thing to add ( to protect, stabilizeyour mana base, and destroy oponent manabase).

I think angel may be too slow. what I mean is that u will loose 2 turn ( u cast its for 3) the turn after u must flip it... you will not use your mana to disrupt your oponent.

I dont think angel is realy a Sui card... it makes you loose tempo...

        4 Swamp
