There are already 2 budget oath threads open, each with more or less the same info. Although I am not sure this thread has enough substance that deserving of its own thread, I am currently working on a budget oath deck, so Ill throw my two cents and let the mods sort it out.

First off the white splash is horrible. Oath has 2 set colors (U/G), and the only other color of choice would be black.

White brings StP and possibly balance. Balance is horrible for this deck as it makes you not oath. StP is a reactive answer for a deck that is mainly about putting into play 2 threats which also messes with your math as Akroma and SotN does 18 dmg 2 turns after you oath (6 + 6x2) making the finish line a little bit further which buys them extra turns without doing anything. Also splash of white messes with the mana base as you are forced to w/x duals which are prone to wastes all for StP and balance which hurts this deck more than it helps.

Black brings Duress, Vamp/Demonic Tutors, and Lim-Dul's Vault. All more valuable than balance and StP. Is it worth the splash? If you read the article that was written about Oath after its conception, the creators thought no. (http://www.starcitygames.com/php/news/expandnews.php?Article=8343) For a budget deck in a non cuthroat meta, black can be splashed with little consequence.

With your deck list, intuition can not be run withdrains or power. After you have enough mana to intuition for ak's, you could have casted oath and won the game next turn instead of just drawing 3 cards. Read the other threads, as they have a fairly good discussion of the deck in its budget and non budget form.

So in closing, your decklist is horrible. Sad Alot of work needs to be put in it.

Back to lurking the boards for me.
