5  Eternal Formats / Miscellaneous / [Deck] Thoughts on Landstill Variant, Bugstill on: October 10, 2004, 09:15:18 am
You are running a land/creature kill deck that operates on the principal of "don't let you opponent play shit." but you are using 8 creatures, 4 of which come into play tapped, so your tempo is already slower than other creature kill decks. and all of your lands cost mana to become creatures. You really ought to be using a fastbond. and mabye some better creatures then Farie Conclave.

WOAH!!! I totaly forgot. does anyone need directions? if so message me, but as a hack/slash job. From wherever youre comming go to either Livernois or Main (the're the same street but Livernois is north of Main.) Get on Livernois/Main and head south, unless the addresses are lower than 870 then you want to head north. The building is about 2 block north of 14mile on Main St. and you can see Warp 9 Comics and Collectibles from the building.

Actually you mentioned earlier that Sundering titan would be the death of you, and I was wondering as to why you used one yourself, does it have enough effect that it is worth playing? Also since you have no blue mana, why not run lightning bolt instead of fire/ice (although i like fire/ice in most cases myself). one final comment is why razormaine masticore, whe not the original? Actually this is the final comment, with the mana denial that you run (trinisphere, spehre of resistance) why not just add void and run a nether void deck?
13  Eternal Formats / Creative / Divining Top or Brainstorm on: October 03, 2004, 10:05:32 am
Actually i used to have a good friend who plated a version of Welder MUD that utilized scroll rack and was irritating as hell. As for the discussion of brainstorm and the divining top, does the fact that the divining top is not color dependant offer any use for mana-tight decks?

Heh, speaking of phallic symbols, anyone forgetting "tainted wood" c'mon if thats not sexual inuendo I'm not sure what is. Oh well, mabye i watch too much beavus and butthead re-runs.
15  Eternal Formats / Creative / Divining Top or Brainstorm on: October 02, 2004, 11:35:36 pm
As I was reading the text on CoK's Sensei's Divining Top, I thought to myself "self, this card is much like brainstorm, I wonder wether or not to use this instead?" While the divining top may cost one more mana to use, the mana required is not color specific giving it a slight advantage over brainstorm. But on the other hand, Brainstorm is an instant and will put a card into your hand unlike the Top which is an artifact. And to get a card you must put the top back on top of your library. But again on the other hand (yes, there are lots of other hands) brainstorm can only be used once (unless you have crazy top-decking abilities) and the Top can be used every turn, mana willing. I'm interested in hearing people's thoughs on the advantages and disadvantages of either card and wether or not the divining top will be a usefull asset in the future.

18  Eternal Formats / Miscellaneous / A confused and deranged Dragon player on: September 20, 2004, 08:55:54 am
Okay, so I've got a fairly competent budget Dragon deck. It's been doing very well for me in local tournaments. However, If I don't win within the first couple turns an irritating little problem usually shows itself... Platinum angel. Unless I sideboard in for it specifically I cant kill it. Does anyone have any suggestions for viable cards that would be usefull and not too far away from my focus for dealing with that goddam angel?

                                                                            Thanks.
