I prefer the IA art to the A/B/U art on Swords to Plowshares.
Amazing they found a method of making that hideous Brainstorm artwork even uglier.
It's too bad the only decent looking Disenchant artwork was the promo one.
...Who gives a rat's ass about Portent?
So you'd play an IA Swords over a German BB Revised Swords?

Grim tutor in any format but vintage isn't much better then diabolic tutor, and when is the last time you saw that card get played? I personally would love to see grim tutor get printed if only so i can get a foil set for grim long.
It'd still be the ugly new frame. Old frame WB > new frame foil.

Because Drayd takes time, resources and set-up to get big...not to mention that late-game Dryads start small. 'Bears and 'geese are boosted right when casted with minimal set-up.
Forgive me, for I haven't played Vintage since the days when unpowered UW control actually had time to set up a Disk or Wrath, stabilize, and beat the opponent to death with a Morphling, but isn't Quirion Dryad more of a Legacy thing? It just seems too slow to build up. Also re: Orim's Chant causing Drain manaburn: Does nobody play Factories anymore?

lol keep um coming but remember you will have to choose one entry and pm me with it as i will not allow multiple entries by 1 person. oh and jacob orlove you took a real ice age card and did not follow the rules so your entry does not count.
Also, I'm playing Wrath of Pacman. Anything else I do (Khan, etc) is just for the hell of it (even though it could probably win.)

So where's the Wrath of Kahn?
It really doesn't translate well into Magic terms. Destroy all Enterprises? Destroy all non-genetically enhanced superhuman creatures? Do something else? I tried to capture the "kill everything that isn't genetically enhanced" flavor of Khan's original quest to remake humanity in his image (and start the Eugenics Wars in the process). This is just a quick-and-dirty shop, I'm not exactly sure how I should clean the art up better. Plus the flavor isn't quite so bad, and the flavor text... meh.

I actually cant cut and paste very well, but here is my 10 second drawing:
Actually, what you do, is click on your pic... Then right click and go to Properties... Then Copy and paste the URL like so... I'm pretty certain vroman was referring to the cut-and-paste action required in Photoshop or similar programs to alter the card itself... since his strength is in drawing. However, in a totally different vein, I didn't know that Annorax was a TMD member. If you are in fact MT's "Annorax'ed" Annorax (the picture quality indicates that), then welcome to TMD! If not, then also be welcome, but be aware that you are impersonating a probably well-known internet figure. Wrath of Gosh reminds me of that picture where someone had 'shopped an Afro onto Aaron Forsythe, sometime ago on MTG.com. If someone can locate that, please put it on a Wrath! I have this feeling in my very bones that it fits perfectly on the card. ok i dont know if i made this clear but you have to use a 8th edition wrath of god, jacob, and it has to have a name besides wrath of god. I lol'd, and I'm almost not sure who is pulling whose suspenders here just to let them snap back with a snap -- almost. Yeah, that used to be me. I've been monitoring here since the fiasco that resulted in me getting a C&D letter from Wizards, and only recently decided to become active again. I'm actually still somewhat surprised that I didn't get banned for that, since from what I understand, TMD got one as well. Or was I wrong about that?

Ok, I just received my ancestral recall
I used th elight test, water test, comparison tests etc.
its from Unlimited btw, so I am pretty sure It is real.
I dont want to try the bend test, because I prefer no to bend cards like that.
anything else I can do? I will buy a black light soon somewhere to test that also.
You'll put water on a $400 card, but won't do the bend test? What next, you'll start driving at double the speed limit and refuse to use a radar detector? How is that even almost a valid analogy? Wouldn't something like "What's next? You'll start driving at double the speed limit but insist on wearing your seatbelt?" actually make sense? It's not. It was intended to be as retarded as putting water on an Ancestral.

|
Where: MAKS Collectables, 2000 Wiley Blvd SW, Cedar Rapids, Iowa When: Saturday, December 4; Registration at 11am, Tourney starts at 12 Noon Sharp Proxies: Five. Photoshopped and printed proxies are acceptable. Proxies must have all relevant information (name, mana cost, type, text, P/T) on the card. Entry Fee: $5. PM me or email me at teroknorevents (AT) hotmail.com for further details and directions.
We'd like to start offering Type I cards like Drains, dual playsets, and the like for prizes, but need an idea of the number of players who'd play in this event.
This event may also become a monthly event based on turnout and reaction.
We hope to see you there.

I have to second the anti-Mindslaver sentiment. A few weeks ago, I had a kid in a FNM who thought he could make the opponent do ANYTHING during the controlled turn. He first "made" the opponent concede, then when I called him on it, he tried to make the opponent tell me to fuck myself.
What I'd give to judge in a community where the players aren't vile, unwashed bastards.

Fully powered players might not jump at the opportunity to buy this stuff, but people owning no power would spring at it. I play with full Beta power (except for an UL Time Walk). I would buy a metric asston of a reprint set that included P9, Library, Workshop, Mana drain, etc. I'd be willing to pay in full for at least a case of this before the set was even printed. Wizards doesn't make much off Type I, because of the choices they made. They could be making loads of cash from it. So what if it's a broken format. Let the players decide if they prefer standard or vintage or both. As it stands now, the players have decided that proxies are the way to go, which is horrible for Wizards in the long run. If they were tournament legal, I think anyone with a brain would buy as much of the set as they could before it's released. I'm convinced that if power is to come back, judge foils are the way to do it. I'd kill to test for my level 2 if Pro Tour judges started getting shiny Walks and Sapphires.

Annorax of MiseTings here. Name's Andrew. I'm trying to get some Vintage going in Iowa, and would like to absorb some wisdom from THE Vintage forum. I started playing Magic when Fallen Empires was new, but never really played serious tourneys.
