Current decklist: It's pretty awesome, but I may put some draw in there. I was shuffling though our EDH box and realized she didn't have Necropotence in there. We'll see what happens over the next week or so.

Cards that have been amazing:

Asceticism is a bomb. Like, good luck stopping the zombie elemental onslaught.
Zombie Trailblazer has had more assists than any other card in the deck.
Phyrexian Tower Saves the day. I went to dump 8 -1/-1 counters on him and he just went to the general zone, still full. Asshole.

They were good games, but burninator can run into some dead draws. I may have to put in some Magma Jets. That's the fun of burninator, though; you can get turn one double Ankh of Mishra or a hand full of Stingscourgers.

Great games.

Transmute and Reshape need to be there, good call!

I've been playing a little bit with it on a cockatrice and it is AWESOME. You pretty play exactly like a mad scientist. You have a bunch of dudes who eventually make a big monster and you don't know if you'll rampage or have it blow up in your face. So awesome. Especially the Leveler/Maniac combo. Dangerous.
9  Eternal Formats / Online Tournaments / Re: Duck Weekly Tourney #1 on: December 14, 2011, 12:58:32 am
I played DubDub's reanimator build from the Reanimator thread. I went 0-2.

Game one, I hesitated on MMing a Sol Ring that led to Bob which led to a Jace which lead to me falling behind and losing.

Game two, I mull to five but fetch ancestral and Misd his to get back in but run into zero animate targets. Eventually, he tinkers and I steel sabotage, preventing me from using my newly drawn Show and Tell to get my It that Betrays into play. I have an opportunity for a HUGE will and DT for it then realize the deck doesn't run it. I lose the next turn to his Will giving him infinite turns.

The deck was fun to play but felt clunky. I disliked relying solely on Bazaar and Emrakul taunted me a lot. I think I'm going to fiddle with it, adding an Inkwell and Tinker and dropping the spaghetti monster for Will.

My sideboard was shit. Needed more Iona.

I've always loved mad scientists and I've been stuck in a lab all semester, so I decided to make an EDH deck about them. It's way more theme than function, especially considering the only mad scientist general is Mishra...

Here's what I came up with. I think its evocative and flavorful, leaving the scientists to create and their creations to destroy. Some concessions to function entered (like top and some of the lands), but for the most part it is pretty pure, even leaving out things like Demonic Tutor because I wanted to avoid the whole demon thing

Enough back-patting. I made this list, so why am I posting it for you guys? Well, like all good scientists, I wanted to put this up for peer review. I'm sure in my relentless gatherer searches I missed something cooler than something in the deck or there is a better version of an interaction I have. In short, I'd really appreciate you guys taking a look at this and pointing out anything that I may have overlooked before I sleeve it up and get crushed while exclaiming, "You'll rue the day you made a mockery of me and my work!".

Here's the list. Thanks for taking the time to look at it. (asterisks are cards I do not yet own)

I'm thinking of finding room for impulse, Serum Visions, and Tunnel Vision to add to the Leveler and Doomsday that combo with Laboratory Maniac, my favorite card pretty much ever. Also, pretty much the only way this deck will ever win.
15  Eternal Formats / Null Rod Based Aggro / Re: The Dark Times Primer on: December 13, 2011, 12:00:34 am
ditto on loving MM.

but man, once I add that in  I really want to add in FOW. 4 MM, 4 FOW, Time Walk, Recall = 10 cards. Add in some random draw/filter/bounce and you can hit the 16 needed to support FOW pretty quickly.

its soooo tempting.

I won't lie, the interaction MM gives me on their turn made me start to think about blue. The manabase is rough as is, though. Plus, I'm a dork and miss suicide black and this is as close as you can get now.

1 Mox Jet
1 Pithing Needle
4 Dark Confidant
4 Vampire Hexmage
1 Hex Parasite
4 Leyline of the Void
1 Necropotence
4 Dark Ritual

4 Wasteland
1 Liliana of the Veil
1 Demonic Tutor
4 Duress
1 Imperial Seal

Inquisitor, prepare to board in those claims to hit your own moxen, because if you can't stand the heat, then... I don't know. Tinker or something.

I wish. This was 15 minutes of hard thought solo. My testing was how many hands opened with Ankh. I got like 5/8, so I figured I'd play it.

Wow. This thread is making me sad.

Totally agreed, this is more about some personal fight between Diopter and Onslaught. Even though, they exchange some arguments, these fight doesnt lead to anyhing and is complete useless. There is no sense to compare complete different creatures. Can't you continue to compare your ... size by pm?

Yup.

The group I'm part of is great about self limiting. The game can certainly be what Sheldon wants if it's what you want.

No.

As much as I love Mind Harness, I'd rather kill a Goyf than control one for a turn or two and then have to deal with it again.

39 views and no one has a single thought on this deck? I find that hard to believe Smile. C'mon guys! Don't be shy!

-Storm

I don't understand this deck. I don't understand all the images. I don't understand the special fonts.

However, I do like the Ooze. He's definitely underplayed, especially as a GSZ target (I guess? I don't fucking know. Does GSZ see play?). I, too, question the necessity of 3(!) Dryad Arbors.

I agree about rise from the grave. Definitely the one to cut. Inkmoth is a great idea. It would slip right in under the radar.
