Tournament announcement for The Deck Box Format: Vintage Tournament Details: Date: June 1st, 2013 Registration: Noon Tournament Starts: 4:00 PM Entry Fee: $20 Prizes: 1st Place: Judge Foil Demonic Tutor 2nd and 3rd will be determined by attendance Location: The Deck Box 5360 Hendersonville Rd Suite 201 Fletcher, NC 28732 Fifteen (15) proxies are allowed between main deck and sideboard. Deck lists will be required, and proxies will need to be clearly marked and examined prior to the tournament. Proxies may not be thicker (paper stuffed in the sleeve), or otherwise different from regular magic the gathering cards that would identify them as marked. Tournament announcement for The Deck Box Format: Vintage Date: Sunday December 9th, 2012 Time: 2:00 PM (Pre-Registration is open at anytime prior to the event) Entry Fee: $10 15 proxies allowed. Deck lists will be required. Proxies must be printed or written directly on the FRONT side of a legal Magic card. Paper slips in front of cards (or anything that changes the thickness of the card, stickers, etc) are not acceptable. The proxy must be clearly and easily identified. We encourage your to acetone the front of a card to remove anything that would confuse your opponent or a judge, but this is not required. The Prizes: Prizes will be paid in store credit that can be applied to anything in the store including sealed product, singles, sleeves, deck boxes, playmats, etc. Payout will be 100% of actual tournament entry fees paid, split determined based on attendance. Replacement prizes are TBD, hopefully some legacy/vintage staples. Yes, I realize the traditional understanding of the Mason-Dixon line, and I am also aware it was established in the 1700s... I was just more interested in physical geographic location, not historical/political divisions. North Carolina is most certainly in the Southeastern U.S. and Vintage magic players in Texas will likely not be attending any events here. Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, and California are generally considered the Southwest. This area likely deserves it's own forum, rather than being lumped together with with events over a 1000 miles away. We're actually closer to Boston.
