I'm happy to officially let everyone know that I'll be bringing a very half-assed and under-powered deck and still bringing that painting home with me.

7  Eternal Formats / Western/Pacific U.S. / Re: Ancestral Recall Tournament 9-19-2010 10 proxy Los Angeles/Orange County on: September 14, 2010, 01:14:33 am
I'm not going to be able to make this because of work, but I'll def keep my eye out for the next one so I can request the time off in advance.
8  Vintage Community Discussion / General Community Discussion / Re: TMD 2010: NEW LAYOUT on: June 19, 2010, 02:23:19 am
This new layout can lick my hairy beanbags. Fuck this garbage.

Specifically, so I'm not a troll... I like to read tourney reports. I have to check all the fucking different regions to see what the shit is going on? What the shit?

That was enough to piss me off and write this. I looked at the other shit and it was definitely balls as well.

There's a Preview function on TMD so users can wash their posts clean of Tourette's before submitting them.  I suggest you use it in the future.  -DA
9  Vintage Community Discussion / Non-Vintage / Re: [Tournament] March 14, 2010 Los Angeles, CA Knight Ware Inc. goyfs, fow, on: March 03, 2010, 02:18:01 am
If I can get a ride to this I'll get the day off.

Anyone coming north through Orange County? I'm in Mission Viejo just off the 5.

I can definitely throw down for gas or whatever.
10  Vintage Community Discussion / General Community Discussion / Re: Congrats to Fuckin' Lou for winning SCG LA Day 2! on: January 05, 2010, 12:16:39 am
Good times! Thanks.

Also, that wolf shirt pretty much increased my power ten fold.
11  Vintage Community Discussion / Non-Vintage / Re: 01/02 & 01/03/10 - StarCityGames.com Open: Los Angeles on: December 29, 2009, 12:41:49 pm
I'm pretty amped for this. Any other TMDers going?
12  Archives / Tournament Announcement Forum / Re: Large USA-based Vintage Tournament on: October 22, 2009, 10:24:15 pm
With enough lead time  I would definitely show up to this.

You've got balls bigger than Bob Yu's head if you do this Nick. DO IT!
13  Vintage Community Discussion / General Community Discussion / Re: Sandwich Punch. on: September 25, 2009, 05:00:45 pm
If I get a McDonald's burger, unwrap it but don't bite/remove/add/do anything but take the sandwich out of the wrapper, is it considered modified, and therefore punchable?
14  Eternal Formats / Global Vintage Tournament Reports and Results / Re: 2nd at Gencon saturday mox tourney -vroman on: August 20, 2009, 12:57:14 am
Thanks for the report Vroman.

Definitely good to hear you are excited about Magic, as I agree w/ Brian when he said
Of all the major Vintage players in the game who are not on Meandeck, I am probably the biggest fan of Vroman and his deckbuilding prowess.
15  Eternal Formats / Global Vintage Tournament Reports and Results / Re: Vintage Championships Top 8 LIVE! on: August 19, 2009, 01:43:19 am
I'm glad you all enjoyed the coverage.  I really want to fill what seems to be an open space in the way magic, as well as other pro gaming events, are covered.  We live in Chicago, so we will be trying to cover as many event in the area as possible.  Let us know if any events will be in our area by dropping us a line at ggs@ggslive.com.

Even though you guys knew shit about the format in general, I think the chat portion really helped out and this turned out to be a blockbuster.

Very well done.

A subject matter expert would have been nice, but I understand the whole doing shit on the cheap and all that. Perhaps someone in the crowd might have had some experience or something though? Just a thought.

18  Archives / Tournament Announcement Forum / Re: [Boulder, CO] 2009/08/30 FTW Power 9 Vintage Series Game 4 on: August 06, 2009, 02:32:32 am
I'm there. As a side event, watch Jim Gaffney and I play heads up poker for a Chaos Orb!

I would get down on a side bet that he beats you in heads up poker.
What's the bet and are there odds?
19  Eternal Formats / Miscellaneous / Re: Community Discussion/Data gathering--dredge post board. on: July 31, 2009, 12:07:50 am
As an Ichorid pilot I find the biggest threat to Ichorid post board is three pieces of hate.

Two will sometimes get you there.

If only one, Ichorid should be able to get there.

Most of the time it doesn't matter what the one piece of hate is, as I can find an answer. Two gets harder and obv three is probably a blow out.
20  Archives / Tournament Announcement Forum / Re: Vintage WORLDS is August 14th at Gencon--who's coming? on: July 30, 2009, 11:59:11 pm
Unfortunately because of my recent move to California I will not be able to afford to make the trip to Gencon. I'm totally fucking bummed about it.

I hope everyone has a great time, and I guess there's always next year.
21  Archives / Tournament Announcement Forum / Re: Eudemonia's P9 Series - Berkeley, CA on: July 22, 2009, 02:31:08 am
I'm in SoCal now, so will try to attend these with my boy Eric Weeden.

I want to thank everyone now for their entrance fees which are paying for my new power.
22  Eternal Formats / Global Vintage Tournament Reports and Results / Re: 3rd and 7th at the ICBM Open on: July 22, 2009, 02:03:59 am
Nice job Soly. I blame  this on everyone else being so terrible. Wink
23  Eternal Formats / Global Vintage Tournament Reports and Results / Re: The ICBM-Xtreme Open thread on: July 18, 2009, 10:02:12 pm
Jimmy McCarthy is playing against Jeff Ravbovsky right now.

I took 3rd
Seroogy is 4th
Twaun is 5th
Derrek wochinski is 6th
Tim Bartlett is 7th
Michael Mohring is 8th.

Go Jimmy! That's what the fuck I'm talkin' about.
24  Eternal Formats / Ritual-Based Combo / Re: Ad Nauseam Tendrils: Post Variants Here! on: June 19, 2009, 01:30:02 am
Thoughts on these lists?
I think you are on the right path with the top list. I like Bob.

Can you explain why you cut an Ad Nauseam? That doesn't seem good.

The two Tops are nice. They help with the slow play you were talking about.

I"d want a few more bombs, along the line of Timetwister, Gifts Ungiven or Fact or Fiction. With that in mind, I wouldn't play Necro. I also wouldn't play so many Tendrils, nor Demonic Consultation, so those choices factor in.
25  Archives / Tournament Announcement Forum / Re: WARP POWER 9 SERIES - ANCESTRAL RECALL JUNE 28th 2009 Christopher Rush!! on: May 13, 2009, 03:23:11 pm
I want to kick it in Boulder and look for trim and get fucked up. Who's in?

Wtf is Trim...? and why should we be looking for it? Is it what i think it could be?

Honies Ed. There are always so many fine honies in Boulder, it seems inappropriate to ignore them.
26  Vintage Community Discussion / General Community Discussion / Re: RIP hspecter, Manuel Fernandez on: May 12, 2009, 08:50:17 pm
Sad for sure. Manny was a super nice guy. My thoughts go out to his family.
27  Archives / Tournament Announcement Forum / Re: WARP POWER 9 SERIES - ANCESTRAL RECALL JUNE 28th 2009 Christopher Rush!! on: May 12, 2009, 08:45:48 pm
This will be my last event before I move to California and the day before my birthday.

With that in mind, I will take this bitch down and win the Ancestral which should have been mine to begin with.

Ed, this is going to be a sick event, and I'm super pumped you are organizing again.

Brett won/split the last event at Time Warp, again. He did lose in the swiss, and I have a genitalia themed Pithing Needle proxy for Legendre. I'd like to have a bounty again, as I really want every one to bring the Ichorid hate this time. Don't bullshit me. For this bounty, I'll by the winner a drink of their choice at the after party. Be the first to beat Brett, and a winner is you.

Seriously, let's have an after party. I want to kick it in Boulder and look for trim and get fucked up. Who's in?
28  Eternal Formats / Global Vintage Tournament Reports and Results / Re: Results from 10th Vintage Extravaganza at BLACK GOLD on: April 14, 2009, 07:42:16 pm
Lou's last four cards are maybe City of Brass?
1x River Kelpie
1x Dread Return (to make the total 4)
2x Petrified Field
29  Archives / Tournament Announcement Forum / Re: 4/19/09 Sunday Vintage @ Time Warp in Boulder, CO for CASH! on: April 14, 2009, 12:17:11 am
This event is starting at 1pm.

@Carl - Since this is a proxy event, I'll be able to play something other than Ichorid, so I won't have to worry about double Leyline.

I'm ready to make prop bets. Anybody have an interesting wager they would like to lay down?
30  Eternal Formats / Global Vintage Tournament Reports and Results / Re: Results from 10th Vintage Extravaganza at BLACK GOLD on: April 10, 2009, 12:12:05 am
2 Glen Elendra Liege, really? I think that these are supposed to be Glen Elendra Archamages, in the 3rd place deck's side board. Otherwise, I liked to why they were used.

They were Glen Elendra Archmages.
