I run 5 proxy tournaments at our local store, and although wizards does not allow proxies in sanctioned tournaments, some people have come to me and told me that stores that run proxy tournys do them sanctioned anyways. I dont really know anything about this and I was wanting to know if I could get some help. Thanks

All Star comics in Athens, Alabama (20-30 minutes west of huntsville) is having a Type 1 tourny. We have a pretty large type 1 following, but havent had any tournaments lately, so we are going to try and kick it off again in January, the saturday after new years.

Where: All Star Comics, Athens Alabama 210 South Jefferson Street. Athens is on I-65, and the store is only 2 turns off it, its very easy to get to.  Hour and a half tops from Nashville and Birmingham

When: January 8th 2:30 pm

Format: Type 1, standard tournament rules, 5 proxies allowed

Entry fee: $10

Prizes: If there are 16 people (we are expecting 20-25 locals to be there), then there will be $200 worth of prizes, and more $ worth of prizes depending on how many other people show.
