They had added an optional rule that allows for a ten card sideboard and the wishes can get cards from it. Since the exile zone is still an in-game zone it is prohibited as a wish target but getting it from the sideboard is fine. Taken from these rules: Optional rules for EDH
1. EDH Sideboards
Rather than filling every deck with banal responses, it is preferable to allow some flexibility in the composition of a deck.
* Players may bring a 10 card sideboard in addition to their 99 cards and 1 General. * After generals are announced, players have 3 minutes to make 1-for-1 substitutions to their deck. * Any cards not played as part of the deck may be retrieved by "wishes".
Reasoning:
Highly tuned threats piloted by skilled opponents mandate efficient answers. The minimum number of response cards required to ensure they are available in the early turns can easily overwhelm the majority of an EDH deck's building space.
Sideboards allow players to respond to the "best" strategies in a timely fashion . They should be strongly considered as a necessary defense against brokenness and degeneracy in an EDH environment where no gentlemans agreement on style of play exists.

I have been playing and tweaking this beast for the last 2 years and I think I finally got it close to where I want it. 4 awesome cards from Zendikar made it in and i look forward to adding more from future sets. it plays like a big mana red deck (think Wildfire from when Standard was Urza and Masques). It is a blast to play, and games typically go quick since everybody loses half their life at some point. I have included a sideboard, because they have allowed them now and my playgroup plays with them.

Trapmaker's snare 1U (uncommon) Instant Search your library for a trap card reveal it and put it into your hand. Then shuffle your library
currently only a rumor on MTGSalvation, but what if you could run 8 archive traps. I realize this doesn't change the card's playability, but it certainly sheds new light on the what if scenarios.

I cannot see that happening for 2 reasons:
1) They traditionally have more space in the big set for cycles of this nature (5 is easier to squeeze into one set than 10, not to mention the guilds were why they split the duals up) 2) Out of the 3 sets that will be printed this year, Zendikar and Worldwake are the only 2 with a common theme (The 3rd set is a large standalone set with different mechanics and themes than Zendikar)

You want Constructive Criticism? Fine. Cut the Xantid Swarms, they really are terrible in an aggro deck. I am 1000% serious. You wanna know why they are bad? They printed this: Not only can he not be countered, but he makes any of your spells uncounterable for just a green mana. He also attacks for 2. Last time I checked 2>0, and isn't that what makes an aggro deck an aggro deck? How many of your opponents do you think will try to counter your spell if you have green mana open? I do however that Bug Fish would do what this deck is TRYING to do in a more disruptive manner. 6 Duress, 4 Dark Confidant >1 Intuition 4 AK, and the other suboptimal choices you are playing. why not play a guy that draws cards and attacks instead of playing cards that attack and cards that draw cards but neither cross over.

Shutting off FoW is a pain. It's like a free Vexing Shusher. And against Combo it is a must-remove to win.
Aven Mindcensor is probably the best dude to have in play against Tezz though, and Perish doesn't kill him which is a huge problem. All my SB kill spells must be able to kill Mindcensor first and Pridemage/Teeg second.

The problem I see with Alan's argument is that: , they planned on only having 900-100 players max, anything above that seems like profit in terms of cost on the weekend since they based their estimates on having 200 or so less people than actually showed up. , This was a side event, so since as I stated in number 1 you were already at a profit, why do you need to cut an even deeper profit away from the event than is necessary. , Cost of the venue should not factor into this side event, as you were paying for the hall regardless of whether or not you held this event. I suppose the judges you had for this event would have gone home instead of helping with the GP if you hadn't held this side event? I think if you look at the attendance of the GP, the attendance of the Vintage side event how much you took in - costs for Judges venue, etc. You still came out way ahead that you could have skimped a little less on your prize support to make your customers happy instead of padding your wallet an extra inch or two. But what would I know I am only a potential customer from the Milwaukee area who has attended several of your events in the past. At least when Ben Carp runs events he is willing to upgrade his prizes.

First turn, Tinker-> DSC isn't really enough against dredge, they can still race you (unless you got time walk)
I also made it in at 3-0-2, but my draws were unintentional, and I had to win the last round to get in. I missed top 4 on a gamble against Brian Fisher. I knew his hand, he had 3 mana untapped and a sensei's top in play. I have 6 power of creatures (2 zombie tokens and 2 Narcomoebas) to his 12 life. I have 5 cards left in library and I am in my first main phase. I decide to go all in with zealot (my last dread return was in my library and I had to empty it to find it and go all in. He pops top after I am attacking with a swarm of dudes and e. truths my team leaving me with a zealot. In hindsight, I have enough power of guys to just attack in 2 turns to kill him, and I should have just attacked. Even if that turn he e. truths my 2 zombie tokens I have enough turns to kill him with 2 Narcomoebas and 0 cards in library.

You could make it add to your mana pool, and be a Legendary Basic land. That would give it an edge on other basic lands, but at the same time with Legendary status you can't build a deck with them. The sixth color theory still applies, but that would disrupt the whole game, and they would have to redesign it unless the 6th color was n the center of the pentagon (see the back of a magic card) and it had a unique relationship with each color that was neither friendly nor foe-like Maybe even make a basic land like Pillar of the Paruns Have a basic land type that adds gold mana that can only be used to play multicolored spells

I had a rather rough start to my day, as I lost to Jamison round 1, J. Roxas in round 2 and got the bye round 3. Soly was looking to make top 8 so I played it out per his request. I play shitter aggro decks all day all 4 of 5 rounds my only sane period was the bye I got.
R1-Jamison Zoo R2-Roxas UBW Fish R3- Bye R4 Endress Shop Aggro R5 MaskNaughts player
Top 8: I finally got the chance to play one of the 5 Tezzeret control decks that were there. This is a favorable matchup for me so I had hoped to see it over aggro decks, which are rather unfavorable.
I play against Danny Freidmann playing UBr//g Tezzeret control (Green out of the board only). I win in 3 after he combos early game 1, I land null rod turn one in game 2 to shut off half of his hand, followed up by wasting every land he plays, leaving him with only a Tarmogoyf on turn 4. Game 3 I beat him with Goyfs, both mine and his.
Top 4: I play the winner of a Tezzeret mirror between teammates Mike Solymossy and Brian Fisher. Either way my matchup should be favorable.
I play Brian Fisher (4 color Tez control) and start off game 1 with a turn one null rod. I proceed to waste several of his lands and he never really has much mana the whole game. I win with dudes turns later. Brian's sideboard is pretty strong with Flametongue Kavus and Trygon Predators coming in. I boarded 2 Sowers Extirpates and artifact hate He beats me game 2 with 2 FTKs and a Trygon. Game 3 I forgot to board in my 3rd Sower and board the Trygons in over the K. Grips He has a DSC and a trygon to my empty board and hand of Goyf, Bob, Sower. I have Bayou, 2 Wastes, and a Tropical Island for mana. I play the Goyf to chump and pass at 13 life I can buy myself a turn to rip the blue source to steal his DSC, I should have played the bob to give me one more card, because I was dead either way. I block the DSC with a 4/5 goyf and begin my turn with 6 life. I rip....a wasteland. GGs

Honestly, I didn't test the deck, but I think Voltaic key is wrong here. I mean, if voltaic key is that good, why bother about tezzeret in the first place? V.key is the slot you need for fact or fiction, or gift, or bounce n°2, or whatever. Also, playing tezzeret, tutor for 3sphere, then play 3sphere, is certainly good game against combo. But it's 8 manas. It means you already won a game you should have lost 3 turns ago. If you think sphere is necessary against rituals, then play with 3 or 4 resistors, otherwise don't. But playing with a singleton 3sphere you plan to tutor with a tutor is just awful, in my (not so) humble opinion. Seriously, have you ever seen a drain deck whose plan against combo is to tinker into 3sphere? Well, tezzeret (and I really think it's a great kill, don't get me wrong) cost 2 more. Aside from this, the list seems quite promising. Good luck with it, I'm waiting for more Sorry, but maybe you should read Tezzeret again: What's this? Tezzeret puts the searched artifact INTO PLAY?! Why, that's better than Tinker!!!

I noticed you listed Trinisphere in the "bomb" category. In my opinion, it should be moved to the "does not belong" category because it doesn't make any sense. Trinisphere means that tezzeret hitting the board will likely result in GG versus combo decks...Although dropping Tez vs. combo is not likely to happen early enough. You wouldn't actually tutor out Trinisphere, would you? Give your combo opponent another couple of turns to tutor out a Hurkyl's Recall or Chain of Vapor? Or worse, lose your Tezzeret to a Tinker-DSC? Haha, spend 3UU on a Trinisphere? Why not just go for the kill with Force backup. Play REBs, Daze, or something instead. That aside, what else is Trinisphere good against? Nothing! Trinisphere is awful here. Also, there is not a good reason NOT to play 4 Tezzerets. More is better. yes, because in a couple more turns you could not have found time vault and taken infy turns yet. And think of how bad going mox, mox, island Trinishpere on the play is. Why is Trinisphere restricted it is obviously not good at all. Have you ever played Trinisphere in a control deck? Surely the people who sided it at worlds can attest to a blowout or two when their opponent isn't expecting it. 4 Tezzerets? You know that he is Legendary right? You would NEVER want to see 2 of them, ever, not to mention that it costs 5 mana and you play a draw engine and tutors. 4 Tezzeret would be the equivalent of 4 Karn in any deck with Mishra's Workshop in it, or 4 Tendrils in any deck with Dark and/or Cabal rituals. It is a win condition, but too many copies can clog up hands and take up much needed deck space.

Tidehollow Sculler Artifact Creature - Zombie When Tidehollow Sculler comes into play, target opponent reveals his or her hand and you choose a nonland card from it. Remove that card from the game. When Tidehollow Sculler leaves play, return the removed card to its owner's hand. 2/2 I believe this is the card you are refering to.
