From what I'm told, Children of Men has taken the "Movie of the Year" place in the minds of everyone I've talked to that were lucky enough to have seen it - it opened last Friday in a limited release, so it will be part of the '06 consideration, too, I think. I look forward to seeing that.

I just finished watching that movie. Wow. Very cleaver writing and it manages to be incredibly touching. The movie was insanly good. See it.

For what it is worth, Blood Diamond was amazing. It really worked to highlight the evils in the diamond trade including the artificial shortage, but also had some interesting commentary on basically growing up too fast.

Plus, Decaprio has finaly come into his own as an actor which is swell. He is spot on for this one.

Could you just build an Ebay portfolio for the median price of foreign foils and the like? My insurance law knowlege is rather slim.

New Mexico is horrid for shipping anything to. Dunno why, but at least up in the north, it is like the mail has to travel through customs or a portion of purgatory.

I agree with Toad, France is looking rather strong at this point, with alot of that resting on Zidane's playing. However, Barthez (sp?) is also one of the better keepers out there, which will help since shootouts are happening so much during this tournament.

Oh and I am also registered as a USSF ref, but only grade 8

I actualy like the build from looking at it. The helix adds so much to the deck just due to the major need for life gain.

Wasteland being cut bugged me at the start. The more I think about it though, the better it is. The moon really fills the gap, and there is not a big reason to run it.

Part of the reason it did well is that its so old. Surprise is a great friend, and since the enchantments are the important part to stall, Parfait does not hafve to worry as much about the collateral from rack and ruin, since one of the most important part seems to be dropping the humility.

The major question that comes to mind for me is the 4 tax/3 rack set up. I guess its due to the absolute minimum of mana sources being run
7  Vintage Community Discussion / General Community Discussion / Would you see StarWars again? on: March 31, 2005, 08:38:56 pm
I would like to second the Thrawn trilogy as a movie. That was amazing, Zahn has a very strong writing style for Star Wars and the story was great. I would love to see Empire in 3d, the Hoth scene would be great.

You have to go off during their turn using the necromancy. What happens is your lands come into play, and the active player effects go on the stack. Then, your effects go on the stack, placing the need for a necromancy target. The dragon is targeted and comes into play, putting its come into play ability on the stack, which resolves, removing everthing but it from the game. Then it dies. Begining the loop anew. Keep in mind the win conditon must also be an instant, or you have an essentialy infinite amount of damage flying at your dome.
