2  Eternal Formats / Global Vintage Tournament Reports and Results / Re: Finals Split at TPG on LANDSTILL OATH 12/5/15 on: December 07, 2015, 12:19:49 am
Risk $30 to win $150. Yea, that split was bad for beaver.

Congrats on the finals appearance
3  Eternal Formats / Global Vintage Tournament Reports and Results / Re: NYSE III Vintage Third Place with Martello on: July 04, 2015, 11:52:54 am
I was your rd 6 opponent. I lost 7/7 mana crypt rolls. I have never been so angry at my dice. Smile. Won the last two to get 13th and a nice bazaar.

I like blightsteel if you have greaves. Just gives you silly win opportunities. If not playing greaves then go with the metamorph

4  Eternal Formats / Northeast U.S. / Re: N.Y.S.E. Open III - Power Eight, Workshops & Bazaars Tournament - 6/26 - 6/28 on: July 01, 2015, 12:16:37 pm
Thanks for the coverage so far! What about a final standings list with all participants?

At the moment, we have a list of 1-61:

http://www.eternalcentral.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/IMG_20150627_200451.jpg

Getting the full final standings will be a bit tougher, but is likely doable.

Those standings are after round 7

Was a well run fantastic event haven't enjoyed playing like that
Since champs. That might have had something
to do with all the looks I got for playing a straight
Splinter twin combo deck.

Looking forward to seeing everyone again in a couple months

When you dropped deceiver game one. I certainly was shocked

I enjoyed Snowpiercer
10  Eternal Formats / General Strategy Discussion / Re: Monastery Mentor on: January 04, 2015, 12:42:15 pm
Top decking this guy with an empty hand sounds terrible.

Besides lands and the other monks in your deck. Every card you draw thereafter makes a prowess dude. That Mox, yup makes a dude. Jace...yup makes a dude.

So it seems like a better top deck with an empty hand than young pyromancer
11  Vintage Community Discussion / General Community Discussion / Re: Magic Online Power Nine Owners on: November 13, 2014, 12:50:50 pm

Thanks for the info. I bought a set of moxes and workshops. Not bad. Just need wastelands to come down again Smile
12  Eternal Formats / Northeast U.S. / Re: [Top Deck Games] Aug 17th, Vintage Champs byes and $2,000 up for grabs!!! on: August 16, 2014, 09:01:12 pm
Unfortunately, I can't make this one. I'm sure it will be a blast! Have fun everyone and I'll see you at the next one!

I'm actually making this one. So sad I can't hang with you
13  Vintage Community Discussion / General Community Discussion / Re: Lotus Tournament - N.Y.S.E. 20? on: July 30, 2014, 03:12:20 pm
The SCG tourneys used to cost $30 to play and had lotus/twister first with 5 mox, walk, recall as 2-7.  I think that's a reasonable entry fee and the prize support should be comparable.  I'd make that tourney.

Why do you even post?
14  Vintage Community Discussion / General Community Discussion / Re: MTGO V4 on: July 17, 2014, 02:40:10 pm
You guys hear that cube drafting yesterday put all the cards into your collection instead of it being a Phantom draft.
So to everyone's surprise that they got all these bombs cards in their collection, led to a suspension of trading on their accounts.
This issue hasn't been resolved fully yet 24 hours later as I understand it.
I mean seriously WOTC. This is really bad.

Man, why did I miss this
15  Vintage Community Discussion / General Community Discussion / Re: Conceding on MTGO on: July 13, 2014, 10:44:00 am
Never concede in mtgo. Clock management is a thing.
16  Vintage Community Discussion / General Community Discussion / Re: Vintage Masters Limited ends on July 25th on: July 11, 2014, 01:15:18 pm
Yeah, when people are putting buy ads for 105-110...I really doubt there's vendors selling wastelands for 90-95.
17  Vintage Community Discussion / General Community Discussion / Re: Vintage Masters Limited ends on July 25th on: July 10, 2014, 08:46:49 pm
Ridiculous
18  Vintage Community Discussion / General Community Discussion / Re: Vintage Masters Limited ends on July 25th on: July 09, 2014, 08:03:45 pm
So when I checked mtgotraders this morning the moxes were listed at least 15 tix cheaper than they are now. Mtgo finance moves fast
19  Vintage Community Discussion / General Community Discussion / Re: Vintage Masters Limited ends on July 25th on: July 09, 2014, 02:38:09 pm
I'm glad I bought in last week. Although dropping 115 each on wastelands blew big time. Now I'm worried about their price dropping.
20  Eternal Formats / Global Vintage Tournament Reports and Results / Re: 1st place at NYSE Open II on: July 08, 2014, 10:21:12 am
How was the tabernacles? I've been running a similar list since October but on mtgo the last week I've ran your list exactly. I do love the brokenness of it. The 4 caverns are awesome!

Here's a legendary moment from the now renowned N.Y.S.E. Open II:

Why drop after rd 2? Can't you win out and make top 16?

Dazed and confused
26  Vintage Community Discussion / General Community Discussion / Re: VINTAGE on Magic Online is announced!!! on: June 14, 2014, 11:50:02 am
I played against ug madness deck that also had survival of the fittest...it wasn't fun. The whole format us a blast.

In 3 drafts I've pulled:
Foil brainstorm
Foil tolarian academy
 force of will
Scrubland

Those were the money ish cards
27  Vintage Community Discussion / General Community Discussion / Re: Your Favorite Magic Card & Why (list no more than 3) on: June 02, 2014, 09:32:12 pm
Balduvian Horde...it's the first real card I chased. A time of my youth. Holds a lot of nostalgia for me. It's my grail art piece
28  Eternal Formats / Northeast U.S. / Re: MVPLS Vintage Event---THE INVITATIONAL 5-24-14 on: May 29, 2014, 10:58:51 am
They both asked for a library check at one point. Craig had several fewer cards in his library than Joel.
29  Eternal Formats / Northeast U.S. / Re: MVPLS Vintage Event---THE INVITATIONAL 5-24-14 on: May 27, 2014, 07:28:34 pm
The best part was Greg having gelati from Rita's for the first time. And sub optimally choosing Root beer when tropical punch was available.

It was great meeting Calvin. Top notch tourney
