1  Vintage Community Discussion / General Community Discussion / Lost Deck on: September 13, 2004, 10:01:32 pm
I'm not sure exactly where this should be posted, but I think that this forum would be the most appropriate.  At the recent Mana Drain Open, I lost a deckbox full of assorted decks.  I don't want to list the decks inside unless someone contacts me about them. If anyone has found the decks, I would appreciate if they would contact me at beanusmaximus@cox.net or beanusmaximus31 on AIM. I'm bracing for the worst, but I figure it won't hurt to ask around.
Thank you for your help.
2  Eternal Formats / Creative / Which is more broken, Crucible or Wasteland? on: August 31, 2004, 08:10:26 pm
@ GlockAndRoll: You say the restricting Wasteland would be ridiculous because almost all decks use it, but overabundance of a card is in itself criteria to restrict a card.

Anyways, I do not believe Wasteland should be restricted. It is not a broken card; I think that if any card was to be restricted, it would have to be Crucible.  I think that Wasteland by itself has a good balancing effect on Type  One that would be lost if it was restricted, whereas Crucible of Worlds is the card that breaks it and makes it unfair, thus Crucible of Worlds, if anything, should be restricted, not Wasteland.
3  Eternal Formats / Miscellaneous / [Discussion] Giving Away Wins for Cards Cheating or Not? on: February 24, 2004, 12:49:38 am
I expirienced similar problems on a little smaller scale.  I have seen people in drafts just rolling dice to determine who wins, just because they don't feel like playing late in the draft.  It's all about sportsmanship.  I think that your comparison to baseball is a very appropriate one.  It's a competative game, just like magic, and I think that Magic should treat bribes the same way.
