Thanks, Calvin for organizing and TOA for hosting!  It's always great to sling cards with the Vintage community.

I have a family event Saturday, hoping to make the April tournament, Shawn.  Until then, I'll dream of your adorable face.

A few of us are planning on coming up for the weekend and would be interested in hotel ideas.  Any suggestions, Nick (and /or other local folks)?  Thanks!

Many thanks to Shawn for hosting.  It was a small event, but a fun one.  The Blowout Train put 2 decks in the top 4, there was a Varosky showing, pumpkin Oreo milkshakes, and all my opponents were a blast to play against.  I've been holding off playing Aggro Gush for a very long time, but it was fun and can be very explosive.  I was just lucky enough to find double Lightning Bolt vs Ryan and his dragon.

I can think of a few people unable to make this one.  You should move the event to Dallas, PA.  Tuxedos will be worn.

Good luck everyone!  Sadly I won't be attending on account of it being the second best time of the year...fantasy football season.  The first is obviously pumpkin flavored everything season.  I think I hear Blowout Train in the distance...
17  Eternal Formats / Global Vintage Tournament Reports and Results / Re: TO Report: The Players Guild 08/01/15 on: August 02, 2015, 08:54:34 am
Thanks again for hosting the event, Shawn.  It was great to see everyone and the football draft afterwards was fun.

This was the first chance I've had to make it to a Long Island event and I'm glad I did!  The event ran very smoothly, a convenient location in the area, the judging staff was great, the vendors (Nick C and Calvin) had a sweet selection, the refreshments were appreciated, and spending a day slinging cards with the Vintage community.  Thanks again, Nick D!

Does anyone know of any Vintage tournaments that are happening this weekend?  WEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
22  Eternal Formats / Global Vintage Tournament Reports and Results / Re: TO Report: The Players Guild 06/06/15 on: June 11, 2015, 09:16:04 pm
Thanks for hosting, Shawn!  Your events are always a pleasure, even though I had to face the trifecta of doom (Murray, Kelly, AND Kohler!).  Gentlemen and scholars, every one of them.  Thanks to Calvin for a set of Bazaars.  Dirty D can be run for real now!

Thanks for organizing this, Calvin, I had a great time and the extra prize announcement was AMAZING.  I'm looking forward to more Black Magic events at ToA.

Props to Roland for introducing me to 95 Magic format, because it is a ton of fun and he is a super nice guy.
Slops to Roland for introducing me to 95 Magic format, because I have a kitchen to remodel this summer, and now I want to buy old cards!

I might be able to make it down for this.  Pre-reg or just show?

It should be an excellent time. Been hoping to have the usualy crowd plus a fun group of people! Hope to see you all there!
The usual crowd IS a fun group of people.  Except the TO, he's a wanker.

Thanks for running this, Calvin!  Tales of Adventure is a great location, the concessions were VERY appreciated, and the prize support was stellar.  It's always great to see everyone and congrats to the top 121!
29  Eternal Formats / Global Vintage Tournament Reports and Results / Re: 13th with Landstill at Eternal Extravaganza 2 on: March 17, 2015, 09:29:54 pm

Round 7.5 Red Robin
"Murica"
Beer milkshake, unlimited fries, and an overpriced burger.  Also our waitress was new and kept forgetting to bring things that we ordered so we started messing with her.  It ended with her in disbelief and probably doubting why she was working at Red Robin saying something along the lines of "I've never heard that one before.  I need time to process...  I don't know... I don't know...".  We left her a decent tip at least.

Statistically speaking, she'd watch.

Congrats, Brian!  Always a pleasure playing you, but it sounds like I need to add a 3rd deck to my repertoire.
