1  Vintage Community Discussion / General Community Discussion / Re: Custom deck boxes on: January 20, 2013, 12:14:24 am
I really like/have been looking to find the old box with moxen + lotus on it and some other artifacts. It's a really cool box but pretty hard to find.

I'm curious to see what other people have cuz I too need a new, nice box

Thanks for the thread
2  Vintage Community Discussion / General Community Discussion / Re: Vintage and Authoritarianism on: January 18, 2013, 08:56:43 am
I dont understand the purpose of this thread.
1. no one wants to listen to you whine about how you beat 5 year olds on cockatrice but cant get respect because you dont play in tournaments. You talked about how people arent willing to invest into vintage and then you posted about how you dont get respect and how you wont invest money into new decks that have worked on cockatrice.....
2. you will not beat steve in an arugment. give up man
3  Eternal Formats / Northeast U.S. / Re: The Players Guild - Mox Emerald - Vintage Tournament - 01/19/13 - Bloomsburg, PA on: January 15, 2013, 04:52:10 pm
Anyone in the south jersey area want to commute up?
I can't make this event but if you want to car pool with TDI to a future Bloomsburg event maybe we can work something out (if its not a huge hassle for either one of us)

Good luck to everyone attending!
4  Eternal Formats / Global Vintage Tournament Reports and Results / Re: Ongoing results at the 2012 NEV Championship at Top Deck Games on: January 14, 2013, 11:07:34 pm
If they aren't up by next Monday I'll personally see to it that I get a hold of them and post them.  Coss is a very busy man, things like this very easily fall to the bottom of the to-do list.

Sounds great. Thanks a lot!
5  Vintage Community Discussion / General Community Discussion / Re: Best Films of 2012 on: January 14, 2013, 04:02:38 pm

I thought Boardwalk Empire was the best drama, but hey...

Ill be honest and say the drama category could have gone to any  of the nominations although I would have loved to see BB win it
6  Vintage Community Discussion / General Community Discussion / Re: Best Films of 2012 on: January 14, 2013, 03:40:38 pm

On that note I might as well release my ranking system to TMD (used mainly  to rank 'tv shows' 'movies' but can describe almost anything)
From bad to fantastic:
infomercial
Tv show
Movie
Film
Drug (only given to breaking bad because its that fukin good and deserves its own category)

Example: the big lebowski was a film. Arrested development, a film.
Team top deck insurrection's posts on this site are Oscar award winning film, however their vintage play ranges from tv show- movie depending on the day

cmon stevey boy. there were no films released!!!
the only shocking note that came from these fake ass awards was the fact that breaking bad didn't win best drama (which it deserved) and that Bryan the man cranston didn't win best actor in drama (which he deserved)
7  Vintage Community Discussion / General Community Discussion / Re: Best Films of 2012 on: January 14, 2013, 11:40:39 am
Films were awarded at the golden globes, really?!
No, only tv shows and some movies
8  Vintage Community Discussion / General Community Discussion / Re: Karma - Japanese Gifts Ungiven (Winner chosen!) on: January 13, 2013, 06:30:32 pm
I'm glad Duck won. Karma rewarded him for all those online tournaments he organized last year  Very Happy.

Don't misconstrue what he said in the 'Last Post Here - October' thread.

Just because Mr Edwards said it I will drop it and move on.
Congratulations

10  Eternal Formats / Global Vintage Tournament Reports and Results / Re: Ongoing results at the 2012 NEV Championship at Top Deck Games on: January 13, 2013, 04:53:06 pm

11  Vintage Community Discussion / General Community Discussion / Re: Karma - Japanese Gifts Ungiven (Winner chosen!) on: January 13, 2013, 04:51:28 pm
I really appreciate what you are doing here and think its really cool and fun. I just think if he's going to post something like "Tmd is dead I will never post again " and then post again is really stupid and hypocritical . I would be perfectly fine with any other person on this site winning except him. Sorry just being honest   If you say you will never post on a site again ten delete your account and leave

16  Vintage Community Discussion / Rules Q&A / strip mine? judge call on: January 09, 2013, 06:06:52 pm

17  Vintage Community Discussion / General Community Discussion / Re: NFL Wildcard on: January 08, 2013, 08:43:11 pm
I'm just saying that since its his last month of football

However, every team this year has an equal chance to get to the Super Bowl, IMO . It's going to be fun to watch
18  Vintage Community Discussion / General Community Discussion / Re: NFL Wildcard on: January 08, 2013, 08:16:54 pm
What are you guys thinking for Super Bowl picks?
I personally feel like the ravens can take it all. I just don't think ray Lewis will let the team lose. He may even get some snaps on offense
For the NFC I'm thinking (actually just hoping) the Seahawks   It's always cool seeing new teams make a run
19  Vintage Community Discussion / General Community Discussion / Re: 2013 Vacation? on: January 08, 2013, 08:14:28 pm
You could always take the josh route and go down to Mexico. Cheap/can't imagine you can have a bad time
20  Vintage Community Discussion / General Community Discussion / Re: 2013 Vacation? on: January 08, 2013, 03:01:15 pm
You are always welcome to spend a week with team top deck insurrection, for a small fee of course. Play some crazy games of vintage, drink the best coffee you've ever tasted, and do some crazy shit we can't post on here without getting a red text response!

Team top deck insurrection had an absolute blast as always! Our play proved to be infomercial worthy. Maybe well see you again soon

26  Eternal Formats / Northeast U.S. / Re: NEV Invitational - 1/6/13 - Lotus, 5 Moxen, Recall, Walk Tournament! on: January 02, 2013, 10:20:05 pm
No need to film the event team TDI will just reanact the highlights of the day
27  Vintage Community Discussion / General Community Discussion / Re: Best Films of 2012 on: January 01, 2013, 08:47:49 pm
I thought Argo stunk ill be honest. You could tell what was gonna happen in every s
Scene and there was no challenge for the group during their escape (which would have made it more interesting)

Anyway, I have to say there were no 'films' released this year

On that note I might as well release my ranking system to TMD (used mainly  to rank 'tv shows' 'movies' but can describe almost anything)

28  Vintage Community Discussion / General Community Discussion / Re: $100 Entry, 50 man P9 Tournaments on: January 01, 2013, 12:11:04 am
I was actualy talking about this also today. It would be absolutely bangin. I'd even pay upwards for 150$ for entry and I think you be able to easily get a crowd.

I think this should only be run once a year to add to excitement/ I don't think many people could justify 200-300 for 2 tournaments

Hopes this carries through this year
29  Vintage Community Discussion / General Community Discussion / Re: Christmas magic cards on: December 28, 2012, 09:19:07 pm
I picked up a Bayou today.

I found a guy that has all this in his basement and some.  He said he would sell it to me for a grand

He has a full set of revised,  so that's about 20+duals , some sinkholes,  library of alexandria, candelabra,  mirror universe and some others for a grand.  Sounds like a good deal to me
HOLY SHIT! Merry Christmas to you
I picked up 4 forces today for $192 as a Christmas treat
30  Eternal Formats / Northeast U.S. / Re: NEV Invitational - 1/6/13 - Lotus, 5 Moxen, Recall, Walk Tournament! on: December 28, 2012, 09:16:54 pm
Didn't I read somewhere that there will be a side vintage mox event for those that don't qualify?

We're still working on the details for that, but there should be one.  It'll be really basic and probably kick off in the early afternoon.  It'll allow time for those who don't have a great day at the Invitational to drop at 0-2 and play.

Very good idea!

Who's showing up Saturday for the 8 man qualifiers?

Every member of Team TDI will be there and we guarantee a top 8 by all of us!! Ill be running by favorite list for the qualifier (and championship for that matter)'solymossy control'  get ready people!
