This isn't going to sound very sane, but actually having to start off again after selling isn't that bad. If you sell it now, you will probabilly get your cards' full worth, and if you find a casual group, you'll find that having to start off again "with the lowlies" is fun and keeps the "casual field" even.

Why don't you run the real Saproling Lord, Verdeloth the Ancient. He's reaaally big and brings his own little army, while pumping those you already have. Plus, it's a tree! Who doesn't like smashing with trees?

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll definitely try some of those. I have already made some 3D cards that were OK (and donated them to the store's owner who put them in display ), but it takes a lot of patiente and I rarely have it. Mental Magic I had tought of but I wolud have a definite advantage over people I normally play with since they don't know a lot of the older cards.

Vintage Community Discussion / Casual Forum / Use for amounts of crappy commons?

In my collection sit hundreds of commons and uncommons that I almost never use, and they're just earning dust sitting there. Most are pretty terrible, other pretty good, but the fact is that a lot of potential is going to waste. So can anyone help me by suggesting a format where I could make use of those cards? Thanks, and keep in mind that the power level among those cards is very unevenly spread, what kept me from trying out draft-type formats.

Just a minor addition, but wouldn't Mogg Fanatic be better in the slot of Lava Dart? It's sort of a proactive Lava Dart, specially since you run other ways of burning Welders. Unless you play against opponents who consistently draw 4 Welders throughout the game . Then again, what do I know?

First, I have all of my rares not in decks in two binders, ordered by sets, then by colors, and inside the colors an arrangement me and my brother invented to keep the cards organized. It is Creatures-Instant-Sorceries-Enchant-Stuff(also ordered)-Enchantments. There's more to it, but I won't describe it all in here. It isĀ a complex way of organizing, though simple to browse. Eventually I had my closet full of huge card stacks (two for each color including two for artifacts) that seemed they would fall every time I opened the closet. Because of that, I separated the cards from each block, and put each block in a different shoebox. Of course, there the cards follow the same order as in my trade binder. But I am a sucker for organization And that's also because I happen to have close to 8000-9000 cards, perhaps 10000, so organization is a must.

Well, I think the ocurrence is similar to the Affinity problem in Standard a while ago. Fish is a contender, and if 25% of the field is playing Fish, you can expect 25% of the Top8 to be Fish. This will be true for any deck that can expect to have a 50% or greater winning percentage. Of course, once effective hate is figured out, Fish will fall back. That's not saying figuring it out will be easy. Perhaps 4CC with Swords to Plowshares will make a comeback?

I myself have a Spirit-based enchant creature deck and it is based on the synergy between Judgment spirits, Tallowisp and toughness-enhancing enchantments. In my deck I run, just like you, Rancor and Armadillo Cloak, but I also run: Elephant Guide, a huge pumper for its cost that does not normally yield card disadvantage (and is a great tool against board sweeping control strategies like Wrath of God); Spirit Link (mainly as an one of to tutor for, and is a way to crush aggro decks or direct damage based decks; it is normally outclassed by Armadillo Cloak, however); and an enchantment I have found to be great, Unquestioned Authority. Not only doesn't it, as Rancor and Elephant Guide, produce card disadvantage, it is one of the surest ways to ensure one of your creatures gets through, or to provide an emergency resilient blocker. I also run Indomitable Will as an one of to tutor for, but it doesn't have much synergy in your deck as you don't run arcane instants. It is another nice enchantment too, although I wouldn't recomend it for your deck.
