Double Insight U
instant
Until end of turn you may copy any instant spell target opponent plays.

Yea, this just looks like fun...... anti counter and anti draw..... I almost wish i could make this green or red but it fits better with blue. I think this would becoem an extremly played card. It would help type 1 a lot, and you can put it on a stick so it may be under costed. let me know
2  Vintage Community Discussion / Card Creation Forum / Re: Vegetation of Stone on: July 19, 2005, 01:50:19 am
OK then.......... think i should put it on the clock ?
3  Vintage Community Discussion / Card Creation Forum / Re: Tutor Lands (cycle) on: July 17, 2005, 06:30:25 pm
So should i make the "remove" part of the triggering cost ? make them remove in order to even set it off ? And maybe add, "If you dont, you lose the game" ? because that rule just seems stupid.... If a card says "remove all copies" you should have to remove all copies, and if you try to play a copy later , you should be penalized.
4  Vintage Community Discussion / Card Creation Forum / Re: False Mox (not what you think) on: July 17, 2005, 06:27:17 pm
Honestly, i kind of like the idea of it only poping creatures and artifacts..... beacuse it could then see new decks built around the enchantment producers. I als olike it at 1 because it restricts you from using moxen or elves or BOPs, therefore the 1 doesnt seem to low because you would have to be careful with it.
5  Vintage Community Discussion / Card Creation Forum / Re: Tutor Lands (cycle) on: July 17, 2005, 03:53:16 pm
So, what your saying is, even though the card states you must remove all copies from your library, you don't have to, and then you can just play the remaining copies as if nothing happened ? I still understand how that is legal..... in order for you to use the ability you have to comply to the comand of the card.
6  Vintage Community Discussion / Card Creation Forum / Re: Tutor Lands (cycle) on: July 17, 2005, 02:23:12 pm
but if the card says "remove all copies" and you dont remove the copies, then what happens when you try to play that card again ?
7  Vintage Community Discussion / Card Creation Forum / Re: Tutor Lands (cycle) on: July 17, 2005, 01:26:38 pm
OK, that was really confusing... So, how am I suppose to word this ? Am I suppose to let the opponent look thought your library to remove all copies? And I still don't see the reasoning behind leaving and copy of a card that is suppose to be removed in your library.... cause if you try to play it, don't you forfeit the game ?
8  Vintage Community Discussion / Card Creation Forum / Re: False Mox (not what you think) on: July 17, 2005, 03:37:54 am

Anyway, there are some issues with the post. At the bottom of the post (or as a separate post), you need a current wording in bold with something to denote that it's the current wording, plus you need to leave the original wording (relatively) untouched so we have something to guide us forward as we 'develop' the card.

Ummm...... i havent made any revisions, and it is in bold sooooo im not really sure what you are talking about.......

Also, I know its nothing like a mox, but it kills them Smile ... The name just seemed like it fit for some reason, I havea picture for this card in mind with all the Mox stones crumbeling... the concept of the name is a ruse..... its liek adding something to a group that doesnt fit, but actually corrupts instead... man i just realized how much i like the (...) thing... see there it goes again ! geez i hope its not annoying...
9  Vintage Community Discussion / Card Creation Forum / False Mox (not what you think) on: July 17, 2005, 12:04:35 am
False Mox
1
Artifact
If an artifact or creature is tapped to produce mana, it is destroyed.
t: Sacrifice False Mox to add 1 to your mana pool.

Just seems like a good way to slow down decks. Also a good way to even things out if you cant afford any power cards. Im just tired of playing against speed decks that rely on Moxen or BOP or other fast mana.
10  Vintage Community Discussion / Card Creation Forum / Re: Tutor Lands (cycle) on: July 16, 2005, 11:45:46 pm
'Removing copies' isn't a very good way of doing things. If you're searching your library you can just choose to miss the rest of them.

That wouldnt make sense........ if you use one, and dont remove the rest, you'll lose the game when you play another one, i think i would realize it if you tried to play it twice..... also why wouldnt yuo want to remove them if you cant play them? they would just be taking up space? there is no need for extra cards uin your deck if you cant play them.
11  Vintage Community Discussion / Card Creation Forum / Re: Vegetation of Stone on: July 16, 2005, 05:46:42 pm
Why do people keep calling it a Sink Hole......... A), its not black and cant be comboed with Dark Rit..... B) Its multi-colored so its hard to cast than sinkhole and isnt a guaranteed 2nd turn drop..... after all the comments i still dotn see wh ythis card would be to powerful...... its about like when Vindicate came out and everyone was like "Oh no, black has a disenchant"...... and low an behold the game made it , and vindicate isnt even really used that often anymore. I dont know, I just dont think this card is that big a deal.
12  Vintage Community Discussion / Card Creation Forum / Re: Tutor Lands (cycle) on: July 16, 2005, 05:42:44 pm
Hmmmmm good idea, i think i'll work on some changes.....
13  Vintage Community Discussion / Card Creation Forum / Re: Tutor Lands (cycle) on: July 16, 2005, 02:29:12 am
I agree with you to some level......... but (and this might be against the rules) i made these cards knowing they would get restricted if they ever saw print..... so, with that in mind, if they were restricted they would still be an awesome card and the tappign drawback would balance them dotn you think ? I mean it is hard to makea good tutor with out it gettign restricted..... sooooo..... i made a good one that is balanced when restricted
14  Vintage Community Discussion / Card Creation Forum / Re: Tutor Lands (cycle) on: July 15, 2005, 09:33:28 pm
24hr Clock......... so come on and take your shots....
15  Vintage Community Discussion / Card Creation Forum / Re: Demonic Choir Chant on: July 13, 2005, 11:14:56 am
Since when did anyone draw cards off Necro?

Ok, im offically retarded
16  Vintage Community Discussion / Card Creation Forum / Re: Demonic Choir Chant on: July 13, 2005, 02:53:02 am
Yea i just thought of something........ this + Necropotence = instant win......... i think i should just abandone this card.... i didnt think it all the way through i guess.
17  Vintage Community Discussion / Card Creation Forum / Tin Hulk on: July 13, 2005, 02:49:32 am
Tin Hulk
6
Legendary Artifact creature
3/2
If you lost the last game you played against target opponent, you may reveal your hand and play Tin Hulk for free.
Flying, First Strike, Haste.
2: +1/-1

Oh this just sounded fun........ put a big fat damper on those combo decks. Plus i like the idea of giving the loser an edge of some sort. The pump ability may be a bit much. this guy needs a bit more tweeking, so lets work him out !
18  Vintage Community Discussion / Card Creation Forum / Re: 0 mana enchant creature on: July 13, 2005, 01:30:52 am
Soooooo first turn i drop a taiga, kird ape, and this..... first turn 3/4 with first strike........ wow...... this should at least be Legendary.
19  Vintage Community Discussion / Card Creation Forum / Re: Animal Speaker on: July 13, 2005, 12:50:27 am
hehe...... you should give it regenerating to makeit really annoying Smile
20  Vintage Community Discussion / Card Creation Forum / Burning Sensation on: July 13, 2005, 12:43:31 am
Burning Sensation
1RRR
Sorcery
Name a card type (Instant, Sorcery, Artifact, Creature, Enchantment, or Land).
Reveal the top 10 cards of your library. Burning Sensation deals 1 damage to each player for each card of the named type revealed. All cards revealed this way are put in the graveyard.

I really dont have any true inspiration for this one, It just seems fun..... maybe broken, but definetly playable for a kill in burn. I'm sure its gonna get crucified.
21  Vintage Community Discussion / Card Creation Forum / Re: Vegetation of Stone on: July 13, 2005, 12:35:07 am
I'm just stubborn..... runs in my family..... but to your point, BurningIce recommended it cost 2RG and pop 2 non basics..... but in Type one why not just play Ruinition at 3R and pop all non-basics, or run 4 Wastelands..... nope, i just like plan old "Any Land".... Do you not think my draw back made it balanced ?
22  Vintage Community Discussion / Card Creation Forum / Demonic Choir Chant on: July 13, 2005, 12:29:52 am
Demonic Choir Chant
1WWBB
Enchantment
Whenever a player draws a card, that player gains 1 life. If a players life total ever reaches 40 or above that player loses the game.
If a player is the target of a non-artifact spell or ability that would cause them to draw a card, they may choice to ignore it.

Yea, its a combo of a reverse Underworld Dreams and .... grrr the name of that white card escapes me, I'll look it up in a bit...... but anyways.... sounds fun and interesting, turns a healing solve into a Lightening Bolt ... .well sort of.... and it makes combat interesting, cause if your close to 40 you can just take the damage yea know ? This card could of been broken with Stroke and Brain Gy. but i prevented it with the 2nd ability
23  Vintage Community Discussion / Card Creation Forum / Re: Vegetation of Stone on: July 13, 2005, 12:19:54 am
How would you feel about an effect that allows that lands controller to play spells in his next turn for 1 less ?? I'm not 100% sure i like that but its would fall into flavor asa darw back for a LD card yea know ?
24  Vintage Community Discussion / Card Creation Forum / Re: Ancient Mage of the Blinded on: July 13, 2005, 12:02:32 am
I like your idea of spliting them , and i really like the names. But why not make them 2cc (1U, 1R) and make them 1/1 instead ? more sexy and playable Smile....... but then again i still like my idea as one creature...... i think i may altar him in a few minutes....
25  Vintage Community Discussion / Card Creation Forum / Ancient Mage of the Blinded on: July 12, 2005, 06:47:12 pm
Ancient Mage of the Blinded
2RU
Legendary creature- Mage
0/3
Protection from Red; Protection Blue.
R,t: Discard a Blue card from your hand to deal 2 damage to target creature with toughness 3 or less.
U,t: Discard a Red card to counter target spell with casting cost 3 or less, unless its caster pays an additional 2.

yea, this is just something that i came up with after playing against yet another fish deck. I dunno, it may be a stupid card, but I kinda like it. I think the 0/3 really helps balance it so that it cant actually do direct damage to a palyer, only help contain control.

Ancient Mage of the Blinded
1RU

0/2
Protection from Red; Protection from Blue.
R,t: Discard a Blue card from your hand to deal 2 damage to target creature with toughness 3 or less.
U,t: Discard a Red card from your hand to counter target spell with casting cost 3 or less, unless its caster pays an additional 2.

I kinda like this one better, it seems more playable.
26  Vintage Community Discussion / Card Creation Forum / Secret Key on: July 12, 2005, 06:17:14 pm
Secret Key
2
Artifact
3, t: Remove Secret Key from the game. Target opponent cuts your library in the middle and you draw the top card of the bottom half into your hand. Play this ability only if you have 2 or less cards in your hand.

I thought this idea was somewhat interesting.... I can decide if its over costed or under costed, or even if it would see serious play. Just a fun idea I randomly had. Let me know what you think, I'm actually pretty flexable about this one Smile.

Secret Key

2, t: Remove Secret Key from the game. Target opponent cuts your library in the middle and you draw the top card of the bottom half into your hand. Shuffle your library. Play this ability only if you have 2 or less cards in your hand.

How is this ? I changed it slightly and fixed the wording glitch that Matt pointed out.

Secet Key
1

2,t: Remove Secret Key from the game. Shuffle your library and draw 2 cards. Play this ability only if you have 2 or less cards in your hand.

Is this more playable ? I thought about it on my drive home today and liked this idea.
27  Vintage Community Discussion / Card Creation Forum / Re: Vegetation of Stone on: July 12, 2005, 06:05:52 pm
Also, they have only given red recently the three mana land destruction, while the other colors get four cc land at best.

Ummm...... Red has had Stone Rain since Alpha, and Pillage since Alliances.... both cost 3, how is that recent ? It also got Raze in the Urza block..... And most the other GOOD LD cards in Black and Green are 3cc...... Black has 4 LD cards at 3cc, and green has 3 cards at 3cc....... you must never play type 1 or dont pay attention to older sets. Also i thought the whole idea of Magic was to foil your oppents strategy in order to win ? I mean a card like this in type 1 would not make that big of a difference, it would just be fun. Almost all good type 1 decks now a days have first turn counter or play artifact mana/speed.

Also I tend to agree with everything BurningIce said, but then again my opinion is biased because i created the card, but i think he makes a great point with Hull Breach and the fact Sink Hole has Dark Rit. to get it going so fast.
28  Vintage Community Discussion / Card Creation Forum / Re: Vegetation of Stone on: July 12, 2005, 03:52:52 am
This is just a card i would love for my type 1 deck. I know how boring LD is to play against, but its so much fun to play once it gets rolling hehe  Mr. Green ...... i understand a 2cc LD card is pretty powerful but do you not think the 2 color aspect makes up for that ? It wont always be a second turn drop.
29  Vintage Community Discussion / Card Creation Forum / Re: Molding Rats on: July 11, 2005, 03:28:56 pm
First off..... Black has a TON  of Land Destruction cards, as does green, secondly the reanimte ability, as worded, requires you to decide THAT TURN  if you want to bring him back, if you dont, then hes lost. Also i dont know to many people who would use his LD ability more than twice as his recasting would grow annoying, plus we're talking 6 life just to pop 2 lands. I like the version i have.......... no one would play your verion because it would cost way to much to reanimate and wouldnt be worth the deck space. Go back and re the way i worded him anddo the math on how much life you would be sacrificing. Until someone convinces me otherwise with a better argument than yours, I'm gonna leave him as he is, cause hes pretty well balanced.
30  Vintage Community Discussion / Card Creation Forum / Molding Rats on: July 11, 2005, 01:41:28 pm
Molding Rats
BG
Creature -- Rat
1/1
Fear
Pay 2 life, t: Sacrifice Molding Rats to destroy target land.
If Molding Rats is put into your graveyard from play, at the end of that turn you may pay 2 life to return it to your hand.

ohhhhh i realllllllllly like this card. I have posted it on another site a while back as a black creature but i like him better as a gold creature. Some think it could be broken but look at it this way. 2life - 1 1land, 6 life - 2 lands, 10 life - 3 lands...... get the picture ? its usable twice, so I feel like it has to be cheap in order for it to be sexy enough to be playable. I think the fear is good for him cause once again, it gives appeal.
