At the moment, it looks like StarCity has every card set up for preorder. They don't have images, but the text is there. You could also try a google search for "new phyrexia pdf". You just might come across an interesting torrent file...
2  Vintage Community Discussion / General Community Discussion / Re: The great debate: Darth Vader vs Batman on: March 09, 2011, 01:27:32 pm
I didn't think this thread would be this awesome. I got coworkers looking at me like I'm crazy, since I've been laughing my ass off for the past 20 minutes...

FWIW, Batman wins. And he wins with....

Post-Hypnotic Suggestion.

Yup, Vader has been shown to be susceptible to suggestion when he's turned by Palpatine and when he's brought back by Luke. His "inner emotional struggles" leaves him wide open to this. And Batman? It's been proven that he has the ability to make GL think he's blind through post hypnotic suggestion, rendering the ring completely useless (can't project stuff if you can't see what you are projecting or where to project it). And he can also make Aquaman afraid of the water.

Aquaman... afraid of water... you know, that stuff he needs to live?

What good is the power of the dark side if you forget that you even have it?

I'd like to think that I'm becoming a better pilot with this deck, and I'll definitely give your modifications above a run. It seems like you have opted to remove some of your anti-Oath cards though. Is this due to a shift in your meta? I'm definitely looking forward to reading your updated primer.

I've been playtesting the deck for a couple of months and I really do like it. Our maindeck lists are slightly different in that I'm running:

-1 Necropotence
-1 Diabolic Edict
-1 Crucible of Worlds

+1 Darkblast
+1 Sadistic Sacrament
+1 Grim Discovery

I think I'm running an outdated version of your list that I got off another thread. The deck has been doing very well, but my toughest matchup so far has been Oath. It just seems like there's nothing I can do against it in game 1. And it doesn't seem to matter whether I'm on the play or draw. I still get wins here and there, but I have close to a 20% win percentage in game 1s. Is this usually the case, and does the matchup just become more favorable after boarding? Or is it more likely pilot error (I'm not afraid to admit it)?

I just wanted to get your thoughts about how your game 1 Oath matchups go for you. Any suggestions? Thanks.

It's funny, but the card I'm most excited about and the one that could make more of an impact on vintage/legacy in the future is Reverberate. Not for what it does, but for the doors it could open for others condemned to the reprint policy.

I'm not expecting all those doors to be opened (and I'm not trying to start a debate/discussion here), but it gives me hope...
