Hi everyone, I'm Andy. Thanks for the mention, David, and congratulations. This was my first vintage tournament as well, and I did no preparation, as my record suggests. I've been building up my collection for some time now, and a couple of years ago I finished putting together a set of power, but I've never really had a chance to use them - Vintage tournaments are pretty rare in this area of the country, from what I can tell, and I'm pretty sure there's never been one here in Bryan/College Station. You'd think, then, that I'd spend a good deal of time practicing for this tournament, but I didn't. In fact, I pretty much net-decked and changed 1 or 2 cards as I was putting it together, perhaps because I was simply too excited to actually play with some of these cards, after wanting them for years and then not really getting to play with them once I did...so I'm a bit disappointed in myself because I didn't prepare at all, but I had a lot of fun nonetheless, for which I'd like to thank everyone. Vintage is a blast.
My only win was from a bye, but I won 1 game in each of the 2 matches I actually played. As you can see above, the last card on my decklist is Vampiric Tutor, which I apparently forgot to write down, for which I got a game loss. Still, like I said, it was a lot of fun, and I'm really looking forward to another Vintage event, regardless of when that is. It's really different, even from the other constructed formats, especially Standard, which is what I'm most used to. I look forward to the next opportunity I have to partake in this exciting format.
