NO you can't. Activated abilities from artifacts doesnt work, included mana abilities. If there is no null rod in play and your opponent plays it, you can sacrifice your lotus in response to add mana, but once null rod comes into play you can't play artifacts activated abilities.

Hi everybody!
I have one question and I would like somebody to explain me. I have a creature in play+ oath + forbidden orchard (tapped) and my opponent controls one token spirit. Its now my turn. I untap all my permanents and its now the beggining of upkeep. My question is if I can tap orchard (burn myself of 1) to put another token to my opponent in response to oath ability and then put into play another creature with oath.
I think I can but I'm not completely sure.

Hi to everybody!
If my opponent plays duress, can I misdirect to him/her the duress? When I play in MWS some peope tell my that I can, but my opponent would choose the card he/she discards. But in duress puts "target opponent", and you can't be opponent of yourself. I would like somebody who explain to me right.

I started to play magic 9 months ago so i'm not a really good player and i'm still learning how to play. The thing is that I would like to play an oath deck and I've been thinking a lot how to build
a good deck with 5 proxys (I dont have money to buy power9 cards).
