Welcome to TMD wuberg.

The budget deck concept is kind of a loose term now a days. Before it used to mean Null Rod/Stony Silence decks, but now it can include a few more archetypes.

Also, pending what you play in Legacy you might be able to port it over to Vintage. We've seen a surge in aggro control decks such as RUG Delver, BUG, Human.dec, and Landstill might even be considered budget since you can squeak by without being powered.

Thank you! I play OmniTell and Pox in Legacy and am only a few duals short of completing RUG Delver. Using cards I already own would of course be great, but I'd rather not port an entire deck since it would just feel like I'm still playing Legacy. Smile I will definitely check the Null Rod/Stony Silence decks. For starters, I'm basically interested in any kind of non-Legacy port that can put up reasonable results without being powered.

Hi,

another new face. I started playing during Unlimited, quit around Mirage but started playing again during Innistrad. Today I play Legacy and Modern, but as I slowly acquire more cards for my Legacy pool, I'm getting increasingly interested in Vintage. I reckon this should be the place for learning the Vintage meta. Anyhow, I guess my first point of entry will be a budget deck, so any suggestions as to what would be a reasonable budget choice for the current meta is highly appreciated. Thank you!

Cheers,
wuberg
