3/3 Means he cannot be found with imperial recruiter. So sad =)

Consider filling it up with Gitaxian Probes?
3  Eternal Formats / Eternal Article Discussion / Re: [Free Podcast] So Many Insane Plays Podcast Episode 46: Champs Preview on: August 20, 2015, 07:54:40 am
There is also a cost barrier for more oath being played with Griselbrand costing more than paper compared to what one would need for any other blue decks

Montolio has been playing shops since 'Classic' MTGO format =)
5  Eternal Formats / Null Rod Based Aggro / Re: "Simians Mom" aka RW Death and Taxes on: August 12, 2015, 03:30:31 pm
I think the consideration when the answer is a reactive one versus being a proactive one

More common plays below

Thalia and spheres are pro-active
Stony Silence is pro-active
Chalice is pro-active
Spirit of the Labyrinth is pro-active
Containment is somewhere in between

Relic Warder is reactive
Revoker is mostly reactive

Without the proactive plays, you cant really fight back a big blue fast mana turn where they hit 2 land drops play a planeswalker and draw 4 cards etc.
U can however stop that with the proactive plays.

I favor having as many pro-active plays as possible and the choice will be dependent on the meta expected
6  Eternal Formats / Online Tournaments / Re: Vintage mtgo Swiss - (Thurs) // (Sun) (8/13) on: August 10, 2015, 03:21:56 pm
Before there was Vintage, we had a Classic League run based on Gatherling which ran for quite a few seasons.

I prefer 1 game a week leagues too

Yawgmoth's bargain should be in there too for what you want to do

Channel and Lich's mirror too has an interesting interaction

You can just go to mtgtop8 or mtggoldfish for the mtgo vintage lists

9  Eternal Formats / Null Rod Based Aggro / Re: "Simians Mom" aka RW Death and Taxes on: August 05, 2015, 12:52:29 pm
Would running some number of mental missteps count as increasing the turn 1 play count?

Do we get Gameday promos? =)
11  Eternal Formats / Online Tournaments / Re: Vintage mtgo Swiss - (Thurs) // (Sun) (8/13) on: August 03, 2015, 09:18:59 am
You need a theme to the event.
Otherwise its too vanilla.
12  Eternal Formats / General Strategy Discussion / Re: Amount of Games Required For an Effective Testing Experience on: July 31, 2015, 01:37:44 pm
Since vintage variance is highly dependent on the appearance of restricted cards in the first 3 turns or so

Has anyone considered testing permutations of restricted card appearances?

U can do this with testing forced hands of 1 to 2 restricted cards and draw 5 - 6

i.e. Deck A with recall & walk  vs Deck B without on both play and draw
Deck A with Lotus vs Deck B with Lotus openings on both play and draw
13  Eternal Formats / Creative / Re: White Trash! on: July 27, 2015, 12:38:03 pm
How about mana crypt?

It lets you go turn 1 bear and
turn 2 4 mana for 2 bears or some play

If you go stoneforge, the deck becomes abit mana intensive

Nice to have met you =)

15  Eternal Formats / Null Rod Based Aggro / Re: White Thrash - Post Origins on: July 24, 2015, 09:38:23 am
Been experimenting but its becoming more viable now with the meta shifting towards the 'fair decks'

With some builds White thrash can have good matchups against Stax and dredge both md and sb

with Swords / SFM Batter/Sword/Jitte, it can hold its own against the 'fair decks'.

It holds okay against the blue decks but so far it seems draw dependent.
16  Eternal Formats / Online Tournaments / Re: Modo Rant on: July 23, 2015, 12:02:29 pm
at least the foils and regulars can be differentiated now

the previous V4 ones were too close
17  Eternal Formats / Online Tournaments / Re: Modo Rant on: July 23, 2015, 11:49:20 am
New foil visuals on Modo
18  Eternal Formats / Null Rod Based Aggro / Re: White Thrash - Post Origins on: July 23, 2015, 11:21:23 am
So far the closest in white to a finisher draw engine is Stoneforge Mystic

I will test some on mtgo by moving to an ancient tomb mix and using jittes and swords
19  Eternal Formats / Null Rod Based Aggro / Re: White Thrash - Post Origins on: July 23, 2015, 07:50:47 am
Did I miss any possible turn one interactions

Proactive interaction
Mental misstep
Chalice of the void
Mox,lotus,petal etc into a 2 drop
dryad militant
Judge's familiar
Other 1cc creature
Mother of Runes
Gideon?

Reactive interaction
Swords to plowshares
20  Eternal Formats / Null Rod Based Aggro / Re: White Thrash - Post Origins on: July 22, 2015, 05:57:10 pm
Yes but Vryn is an improvement apart from creature type and wont be maxxed out as it is 3cc unless we head towards an ancient tomb mana base

Judge's familiar better than mental missteps?
