I have found him to be very useful. You can't counter him if you do wind up having to hard cast him. He has Hexproof so REB and swords and the like can't touch him and Jace can't bounce him. Also, making sure that you win very counter spell war and you don't have to worry about protecting your own spells is a big help. Heavily swings the control in your favor. Need more reps to really be sure but, based on the amount of games I've gotten in with him, he won't be going anywhere for a while.

I just reinstalled it this morning. It freezes mid-game, but I can't identify a specific sequence of actions or events that cause it. And it doesn't just freeze itself. It freezes my entire computer up. So aggravating. I will try a reinstall tomorrow and see if that helps.

Eternal Formats / Blue-Based Control / Mana Drain too slow?

I've seen very few Mana Drains in lists anymore, specifically in Oath decks. Is the card just too slow? Too costly? Does it still have a place among the blue-based control decks?

Eternal Formats / General Strategy Discussion / Play testing on Cockatrice

Hello all,
I am new to TMD and still a bit of a rookie in the vintage scene. Unfortunately, due to my terrible work schedule, getting in playtesting is very difficult for me. I would love to get some games in on cockatrice, but the second I mention that I'm a little rusty with the program, people drop on me. If anyone is out there who wants to playtest, and has a little patience as I reacquaint myself with the program, please don't hesitate to hit me up. On Cockatrice I'm MattInTheHat83
I'm looking to test various Oath builds against the full vintage spectrum. Thanks in advance.
Matt
