1  Eternal Formats / Blue-Based Control / Re: SNOB Tendrils on: September 24, 2011, 09:50:04 pm
Hi Hainer Smile

here are some thoughts :

snapcaster + nightswhisper works only at your turn (captain obvious) and requires 4 mana

ur cc2 slot is to sick , and ur mana base is  even for normal  ritual tendrils pretty sick thin.

i would play
+ ponder
+ gifts
- vault /key
+ 2 islands (probably cut 1 mage even for land nr3 , mighte even be loa)
-2 NIghts whisper

lands/ ponder fix manabase , vault key not needed in ritual based tendrils.deck
(usually u wanna start the  game with t1 whisper or confidant and not ponder , but ponder is simply betetr than nights whisper)
gifts land mox eot DR Gifts gg

first i considered 4 mages to much , but  when u cut nights whispers , should work pretty fine , i know u love NW , but u actually try to play hyper fast combo gather with mages with cutting bargain and 3 rituals ^^

mfg

ps : are u really goin to play them ? ( and yes I AM BACK)
2  Eternal Formats / Bazaar-Based Decks / Re: [Deck Discussion] Michael Lellouche - Madness - Top 8 BOM on: June 02, 2010, 09:41:13 am
red is in fact just stronger than black .

mancers to survivve random aggro/hate/fish , and grudge to win vs mono Brown .(in europe if u wanna test a deck u play vs Staxx , drains  and consider a bord against dredge)

but to be serious , he was lucky not to met a draincontrol Smile , but in the end => he s (one of) the best french players , and plays the deck just perfect Smile

3  Eternal Formats / General Strategy Discussion / Re: Has Jace Mindsculpted the Vintage Community? on: May 20, 2010, 04:17:41 pm
Jaze is a bad card , for vintage .

cc4 brainstorm on sorcery speed when it resolves .

The only matchup this guy can win is drains ,and all other played drawspells are better.

If i want a slow card to win the control i play confidant .And in 5 turnaments i never lost a game to jaze

(first of all : sry for my bad english.)

Sry , but i think you guys are wrong .

When you play DT U/B/X the third colour is ONLY for your matchups Staxx and Fish , and 100% irrelevant for the draincontrol matchup .
It`s about how to handle those 2 matchups , and its about the SB slots you "waste" .
Usually , when you play red you have the options ETW/reb/pyroclasm/Chewer and R&R .  When you play green you have Trygons (which are also nice vs Remora) and goyfs .But not one of those cards is really usefully in the draincontrol mirror .

the key to win this is always SKILL , and nothing else .

to improve your chances in the mirror you have only Extripate and Darkblast (when he plays Confi) . All other cards might be nice , but in the end they decide nothing.

mfg
scrubby , playing DT for years (sccesfully)

ps : loa can win this matchup
6  Eternal Formats / Miscellaneous / Re: GWb Aggro control: The answer to mana drain? on: May 07, 2009, 06:36:49 am
it might sound strange , but : this deck is to slow

first turn vial is not competitive in vintage
the only lonly nice first turn drop you have is confidant -.-

mindsensor is ok , but not that powerful to harm draincontrol as well as other disruption spells (fow / duress ... )

another problem is that you can t play rods (i know you don t ) coz of vials -.- , while (rods) are much stronger than cotv ...

the next point is that you are not able to play wastelands with this deck which is a serious leack of power against draincontrol -.-

in the end : you got only less disruption (chants chalice) you are slowly , and : you are just not competitive to vintage with such a deck -.-

8  Eternal Formats / Null Rod Based Aggro / Re: Noble Fish: GUW variants here! on: April 16, 2009, 01:40:15 pm
hi and sry for interrupting you guys , and sry 4 my bad english ( i m from germany)
have you ever realized that this deck looses against one single darkblast ?

and sry but your draincontrol matchup can t be that good , you have only fow daze rod waste stifle
you need more disruption to be competitive .

and your draw is based on cc 3 creatures ... slower than tfk and  a potentiel drain target
