I was a member of BD back in the day. I was able to get an account on TMD pre-crash because of knowing some folks in NY and signed back up immediately after the site came back online in Jan 2004. It's hard to believe it has been 10 years already. Even harder to believe is that we had 25 dollar entry, top 8 draft p9 events!

Been averaging double digits for a while now, let's keep it going! Who is coming out tomorrow? I should have a few extra decks as usual, maybe more if I stop slacking on putting another together, or actually in sleeves.
These events are great practice for the upcoming NYSE qualifier!

I don't believe you need Mutavaults, you just warp your manabase more. The key with Daze is knowing how and when to use it for max tempo gain. Turn 1 Cursecatcher while having Turn 2 Daze is huge. It comes from practice of knowing what your opponent is going to do. Oath is a very winnable matchup, because your guys are uncounterable due to Caverns. This frees up your counters to just focus on Oath of Druids and Show and Tell.
The other strength of Daze is the psychological aspect of playing it. If you catch your opponent off guard game 1 with Daze, it will stay in their mind the rest of the match. Even if you side it out, your opponent is forced to play around the possibility that you do have it. These openings are what can give Merfolk the time it needs to do 20 damage.
Swan Song is cute, but I am not convinced it is the answer.

My list is tuned to have game against shops by using 2 Hurkyl's Recall and 1 Steel Sabotage maindeck. I have been using a single Dark Ritual maindeck, which I do like. I play frequently against those types of decks, so I wanted to be able to win game 1 much more often. It isn't nearly as impossible as people seem to think.

Who am I going to lose to in the "win and in" round with my Craw Wurm deck?
I know you're all scared, but who else is going to t8 this event? Remember, if it does well, the store will be much more open to having these events. The prize support is insane if you look at what is being offered. Anyone from out of the area can crash at my place also. So nobody should worry about hotel costs, just coming to play vintage!

The sanctioned Monday night events have very good video coverage. It works well because they get their name out, and people get great coverage.
I would love to have player interviews and photo coverage. I'm sure people would be willing to do these things for the benefit of the format. The food selection was great. We vegetarians appreciated it very much that options were present.
I'm sure I will think of something else, but the event was a blast.
