I talked to Dan and wanted to ask the group if people minded pushing this tourny to the following Saturday so I can make it. My aunts getting married the 14th and I only currently get Saturdays off in the summer which has made it almost impossible for me to go to tournaments in the winter. I really don't want to miss the July or August events since the next 2 months are my only free saturdays from work! What do u guts think?

Thanks for the podcast Steve and Kevin, as always it was informative and enlightening. If I may give a suggestion it would be this, but I don't know if others will agree or not. I'm not sure if I'm a fan of one of you doing the support/Pro's for why the card will be good and the other doing the Con's/why the card won't be good, way u reviewed the cards this time. The reason being and I'll use Grislebrand as my example cause it bothered me most on your review for this card. I believe Kevin did the Pro's for the card which was fine, while you did the Con argument. My issue is that when you finished doing the Con's and I'm listening to what you have to say about specific cards, which I value your input, you then state you really like the card and don't believe most of your Con argument you just made and then very quickly say that you think the card could be awesome and have potential. I felt a little cheated because that's what I really want to know your opinion about and because you were on the Con side of the debate I didn't really feel I got to hear you thoughts on why you liked Grislebrand so much and potential great ways to use it. Its was just your quick thoughts on why it was awesome cause you spent most of your time on the card debating the potential Con's about it , which it seemed you didn't really believe as much, but for the sake of the debate reviewed the card that way anyway. In a much quicker way to say it, I think it would be more productive and informative if you both feel a card has a potential to be awesome then both of you talk about ways you think it will be utilized and taken advantage of instead of one of you trying to come up with a Con's argument just for the sake of the debate. I'm sure while reviewing cards you will fit in both positives and negatives about them, but it just seemed that you feel Griselbrand is going to be really playable, but I didn't get to hear that much of an analysis as to why, from you specifically : (
Anyway, thanks again!

Last years TMD Open in Waterbury. Its round 4 or 5 cant remember which playing against dredge with a remora vault key deck I brought. Little do you know I packed no SB hate for Dredge hoping to avoid it or maybe only lose once to it on the way.
Game 1 Him: Bazaar Me: Land Crypt Tinker for Inkwell Him Bazaar tricks Me: Copy Artifact making myself a 2nd Inkwell, swing with the first. Him: More Bazaar Tricks Me: Swing with 2 Inkwells for the Win
Game 2: I dont SB as I have non and Lose to a horde of Zombies
Game 3: I still have no SB Me: Land, Mox, Crypt Tinker for Inkwell : ) Him: Bazaar and Bazaar Tricks Me: Copy Artifact make myself a 2nd Inkwell again : ) and Swing Him: Bazaar Tricks and : ( Me Swing for the win vs dredge with 0 SB Slots for the Matchup
Epic!

I agree with you. At the TMD Open I ran 4 Snapcaster MD and 4 Surgical extraction with 3 Extirpate in the side, never losing once to dredge in testing leading up to the tournament. Unfortunately for myself I played the eventual TMD Open winner in round 2 and after locking him out basically game 2 I lost because I flipped force of will with BOB. I liked my chances if it would have went to game 3 : (

Im John from round 2 of your report. John Joyce if you care to update. It would have been really interesting to see how game 3 would have gone if I didnt die to flipping force as my testing against dredge was awesome the previous few nights. Unfortunately I finished 4-3, just missing top 16 I'm glad you won as you were a great guy and hope to have a rematch sometime in the future, Congrats on your great Tourney!
