1  Vintage Community Discussion / Casual Forum / [Deck] W/g/b Multiplayer on: October 21, 2006, 11:19:40 pm
This is the deck I play most often in my local playgroup; I've been building it over the course of a few years, hence the high rare density.  I'm just looking for a way to tighten it up a bit; it just seems too inconsistent right now.  Mind you, I don't want it to play exactly the same game after game.  This is just a casual deck, after all.  Wink  I'd just like to get it a little more focused.

Lands//
   4   Savannah
   4   Bayou
   4   Scrubland
   4   City of Brass
   4   Gemstone Mine
   3   Windswept Heath
   2   Polluted Delta
   1   Flooded Strand
   1   Bloodstained Mire
   1   Strip Mine
Artifacts//
   3   Crucible of Worlds
   2   Zuran Orb
   1   Goblin Charbelcher
   1   Lotus Petal
   1   Mox Diamond
Instants//
   4   Dark Ritual
   3   Eladamri's Call
   2   Hatred
   2   Swords to Plowshares
   1   Enlightened Tutor
   1   Altar's Light
Sorceries//
   4   Sylvan Scrying
   2   Wrath of God
   2   Decree of Justice
   1   Demonic Tutor
   1   Yawgmoth's Will
   1   Land Grant
   1   Balance
   1   Cataclysm
Enchantments//
   3   Pernicious Deed
   3   Seal of Cleansing
   2   Heartbeat of Spring
   1   Defense of the Heart
   1   Survival of the Fittest
   1   Necropotence
Creatures//
   3   Eternal Witness
   3   Hypnotic Specter
   2   Academy Rector
   2   Children of Korlis
   2   Exalted Angel
   2   Elvish Spirit Guide
   1   Spiritmonger
   1   Vhati il-Dal
   1   Akroma, Angel of Wrath

The deck plan is pretty obvious; keep the board clear with Cataclysm, Balance, and the like, until you have enough mana to drop a fattie or two, or loose a huge Decree.

I'm willing to spend a bit of money to tune the deck up, but no P9, Bazaars, Grim Tutors, etc.  I run based off the T1 B/R List, just to keep it from becoming too degenerate.

Only a couple rules:

1) No Fastbond.  I've played it before, and Crucible/Fastbond/Zorb is just unfun.
2) Try to avoid making the deck much larger; if anything, I'd like to trim it down a bit.  Ninety cards is just weird!
3) I'm willing to splash another color, preferably blue, if it can be kept to 90-100 cards; that would be awesome, actually.  Any ideas?

I fully encourage constructive criticism, however, cries of "60 cards noob" or "ur deck sux" will be dutifully ignored; I try to be respectful of other peoples' ideas, and I like it being returned.
