1  Vintage Community Discussion / Non-Vintage / Re: Any Norwegian, Sweedish or Danish people reading this Legacy board? on: December 14, 2006, 08:53:24 am
Just for the record, Legacy is pretty popular in Denmark atm. A total of 101 People showed up at the Danish Legacy Champs.. speaks for itself

A Nordic/Scandinavian Champs would be awesome =) let's host it on Bornholm (that's like the most neutral ground).. hehe

2 Combo decks in the "top 11" 1 Aluren and 1 Solidarity.. but I was also expecting to see more combo, especially Iggy Pop

A top-8 was played after the 7 rounds of swiss - Alluren won, and Survival/Shapeshifter ended 2nd.

I got beaten by the Alluren deck first round of top-8 (me playing mono red goblins)

Hmm ok, but what combo decks are you refering to regarding Null Rod? Because Needle on LED vs Iggy Pop and Needle on Pyrite Spellbomb / LED vs Gamekeeper/Salvagers combo, will have the same impact as Rod (Iggy Pop can play around both Null Rod and Needle regardless, because it got 8 Rituals)

Congrats on your finnish mate! And thanks for a nice read =)

I'm just curious, why do you choose Null Rodd in SB over Pithing Needle? Wouldn't Needle be better in most cases (unless you were expecting alot of Affinity), it would also allow MD Mox Diamond..

Terrageddon sounds interesting, I found an old list.. but I suppose lots of things have changed since then:

4 Savannah
4 Plains
4 Windswept Heath
4 Wasteland
7 Forest

4 Terravore
4 Birds of Paradise
3 Mystic Enforcer
3 Exalted Angel
4 Werebear
1 Crucible of Worlds
3 Trinisphere
4 Armageddon
4 Swords to Plowshares
3 Thermokarst
4 Ice Storm

Congratulations to everyone in top 8 =)

Thanks for an interesting read Machinus. I am currently tinkering with Goblins w/ green splash for the Tin Street Hooligans and SB Krosan Grips, but I'm not sure if I should just stay mono red for a more secure mana base.. Only thing really bothering me is that I won't have an answer for Engineered Plague (or other enchantments for that sake, like Worship / Solitary Confinement)

Regards
