I'm sorry if this has already been mentioned but, since Colossus has seen little play recently and Oath isn't that big and now GAT has exploded shouldn't Threads of Disloyalty be played over Control Magic?

Please read the thread.  It is only 3 pages.  There has been a lot of discussion on Control Magic v. Threads of disloyalty.

Why not just play Drain Tendrils with more Gushes? Also many a Gush in Almost Blue should make the deck even stronger.

Replace Akroma and Razia with Tidespout Tyrant. The bouce effect is so powerful that you don't have to worry about, Locks, Combo, Control, or Mirror. When you have Razia or Akroma in play, you're basically a sitting duck until you kill with damage. There is too much of a gap between the time they are Oathed into play to the time you win. Tyrant takes care of this in the event of maybe your opponent will win next turn in any combo deck. Simply return any key cards. Or against a Colossus, when that thing is back in their hand it won't do anything. What if your opponent has Platinum Angel in play. You really cant do anything with Akroma and/or Razia then. But Tyrant does the job right. So play Tyrant it is just better and it catches most opponents by surprise.

Why isn't Skullclamp used in mana ichorid decks? Seems pretty good to me. It's quite a bit of dredge just off killing one Ichorid that's dying anyway, or Ashen Ghoul or Nether Shadow, or Shambling Shell, or if you must Myr Servitor.

Remember to those of you who will play Nether Void or The Abyss, only one Echant World can be in play at once by definition. So you may only want 1 or 2 of each in a deck.

Smmenen, how does Ichorid play around this card? Chalice for 1?
7  Eternal Formats / Miscellaneous / [Planar Chaos] Null Profusion on: January 17, 2007, 01:15:29 am
I just saw this card on magicthegathering.com and it seems to have some potential in any sort of Long deck. What do you guys think.

Null Profusion 4BB

Enchantment

You have a maximum hand size of two.

Whenever you play a card, draw a card.

Skip your draw step.

Here's a list I find more appealing than any of the previously posted for Ichorid

4 Ichorid
4 Golgari Grave-Troll
4 Golgari Thug
4 Stinkweed Imp
4 Gigapede
4 Nether Shadow
2 Sutured Ghoul

2 Dragon's Breath
2 Dread Return
4 Serum Powder
4 Chalice of the Void
4 Leyline of the Void
4 Cabal Therapy
4 Unmask

4 Bazaar of Baghdad
4 Petrified Field
1 Maze of Ith
1 Strip Mine

I read Smmenen's article on Starcitygames.com and saw the Gemstone Caverns in the side.

That's Brilliant!

My previous side had been

4 Ancient Grudge
4 Ray of Revelation
3 Riftstone Portal
4 Pithing Needle

Pretty lame when your opponent drops a before game Leyline

But Gemstone Caverns for Chain or Charm is very smart. Now I was wondering which to play, Chain of Vapor or Emerald Charm to cast with Caverns. I know Chain is more versatile but it can be played by your opponent, but do they have any legitimate targets? E Charm I think doesn't matter in color for Grudge because you're using Caverns for any colored mana.
So I guess I answered my own question. Nevermind

Would it be better to play Gigapede instead of Shambling Shell to put dredge creatures back if Bazaar is destroyed?

I may have missed a previous reply but why not run Braids?
