I played against a Gifts deck recently. Game one I believe I won on turn 4 or 5 after stripping his hand free of counters.

Games two and three he boarded in Leyline and mulliganed (Down to 3 in game 2) into it and I just had no answers. Is there a way to play around Leyline?

Hello, my name is Will and I used to play Magic about two years ago. When I played Type 1 I played powerless Landstill. Hardtimes hit in real life and I sold all my cards. Things are good again though and I'm thinking about starting Magic again.

I've noticed however, that the prices of cards are insane now. Force of Will which I bought for 12, is now 25. Mana Drains I got for 60 each are 120 or more. Dual Lands I paid 15 for are 30. Is it possible to play Type 1 without spending 700 dollars? How do people play on a "budget" now? Has the ammount that "budget" decks cost simply increased?
