1  Vintage Community Discussion / General Community Discussion / Accomodation for GP Stuttgart on: December 10, 2007, 04:05:22 pm
So, I'm an Aussie currently travelling in Germany and I was planning to go to GP Stuttgart but I've just been looking around at all the hostels in the area and all that I checked were full for the GP weekend, so I was wondering whether anyone had a room or a floor I could sleep on just for the duration of the GP, because that would be awesome. Happy to split costs etc. Cheers guys

I'm going to have to go with Jotun Grunt here, his effect is really strong, especially when GAT is setting up for a big will turn.
3  Vintage Community Discussion / Casual Forum / Re: Highlander Tournament Rules Standardization Project on: September 12, 2007, 11:48:43 pm
There's a decent Highlander scene in Australia, but it suffers from standardisation problems too. We all play 60 card singleton, but the decks are limited to 10 points each from a list that varies not just from city to city but from store to store. However it's big enough that Wizards ran a Highlander tournament at nationals with a bastardised points list that didn't work out too well. We're having fairly regular mox tourneys though (every 2 months or so) and the scene just keeps building.

Oh no! Everyone in the Vintage community completely missed that!

But seriously, you use Hulk to find Karmic Guide and Carrion feeder, bring back hulk with Guide and sac Hulk again to find Kiki-Jiki, copy Karmic Guide and in response, sac Kiki and bring him back and loops as normal.

There's no need to be sarcastic. He was asking an honest question.

Instead of playing Serum Visions, would it be better to play Portent? Digs 1 card deeper and still lets you fix your draws. The drawback is the delayed draw.
6  Vintage Community Discussion / Rules Q&A / Re: Tarmogoyf's P/t in Graveyard on: August 24, 2007, 12:15:08 am
Just to get this straight - consider this gamestate.
Me - Sutured Ghoul which has 4x 6/7 Tarmogoyfs removed to him attacking and a full graveyard.
Him - empty graveyard and a Tormod's Crypt
If he crypts, do my Tarmogoys turn into 1/2s in the RFG zone making my ghoul a 4/8 weenie instead of a 24/28 monster? or do they become 1/2s in the RFG zone and my ghoul stays a monster because his P/T was set when he came into play?
