1  Vintage Community Discussion / Rules Q&A / Evoke and targets on: May 17, 2009, 07:33:43 am

Say I play a shriekmaw for its evoke cost. Then when it comes into play I have to sacrifice it. Is ther anytime between comming into play, getting to kill a creature and it going to the graveyard. In other workd, can I target the shriekmaw when its in game or is it never in the game while me getting priority when played for evoke cost.

Could I; Play Shriekmaw, target some creature of my opponents and then play a momentary blink (remove it from the game and return it to the game) on my shriekmaw ?

Thanks in advance
2  Vintage Community Discussion / Rules Q&A / Auras and enemie creatures on: March 13, 2009, 07:20:13 am

This is a general question. Can I use my aura on an enemy creature and still retain control of the enchanment (I would think so). In that case can I cast a pemmin's aura (superman's aura) on an enemy creature and the activate it to give the creature +1/-1 untill it dies ? My gut feeling is yes, but for some reason I feel there might be something stopping me. Just wondering about auras such as pemmins aura, vanishing, flickerform etc. being used offensivly instead defensivly as they most often are

Thanks
3  Vintage Community Discussion / Rules Q&A / Diplomatic immunity on: February 14, 2009, 06:25:11 pm

Diplomatic immunity gives shroud to itself and a creature. The text it:

"Enchant creature
Shroud (This permanent can't be the target of spells or abilities.)
Enchanted creature has shroud"

If using Zur the enchanter to attack someone can I get another Aura and put on Zur ? Seen alot in EDH format get diplomatic immunity and put on Zur and then get another enchantment after that and put it on him. How is that possible ? isent he enchancment a targetet spell ?

Thanks in advance

I must say that I did find the card when searching the database of the grading company and there are a few other auctions graded by them. Still its the offe centering that is so identical to collecters edition that has me believing its a fake along with the different front and back.

It wouldent be the first time a grading company made a mistake

More imput would be welcome, but thanks to those that have given an opinio so far

I was wondering if people thinks this Black lotus is a reback, I think it is. But its graded by GAI. Still the left centering is the same as all collecters edition black lotus.

Tjeck out this auction which has already closed: (notice the very unique picture of the ancestral recall)

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=110171099791&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=001

now see this "powerseller" that all of a sudden throws up something like 20 power cards. Heres the link to the beta ancestral recall (notice the picture is 100% the same). Seems pretty suspecious.

dont know if links works (first post) but the ebay numbers should be fine.

Anyway just seems very fishy to me so wanted to let you know Smile
