Yea, ravager is very playable in shops.  I know that in the tourney I toped8, ravager won me several games.  Either sacrificeing artifacts to him and them himself to move counters to triskelion. Also I won a game because I was able to make my metamorph(which was blightsteel) bigger then my opponent's.

7  Eternal Formats / Creative / Re: aggrssive black green beats on: December 02, 2010, 11:58:45 pm
I built it to play around with.  Testing was fun with the deck, especially with the hiddens.  It was good against blue based decks but very weak against 9-12sphere shops.  I think I have a Demonic Tutor and a Vamp Tutor over the Chrome Moxes.  I did mull a lot to make sure I had wither a turn one bob or a beater.

Oh, dear.  Is that the plan for post tourney.

Over all, my deck played good.  I never got to play Desire the whole night.  I might switch it to Ponder or Trinket.  Also changing the SB around as well.

Coffeecup, you should come.  You'll have a place to crash at.  There's about twelve of us going that I know of.
19  Eternal Formats / Creative / Re: Guttural Response Or Pyroblast In Belcher? (Other Belcher Q's) on: January 09, 2009, 03:20:56 pm
@ Lochinvar81, I usually run those side board due to Workshops, about 3 of them with 3 Price of Progress, 3 Pithing Needle, 3 Pyrostatic Pillar, 3 Tormod's Crypt.
20  Eternal Formats / Creative / Re: Guttural Response Or Pyroblast In Belcher? on: January 09, 2009, 01:59:40 am
I like running 4 Pyroblast over 4 Guttural Response mainly because if you know your opponent in not playing blue(such as Ichorid or Gobs game one), Pyroblast can be used to ramp up you storm count for ETW.

24  Eternal Formats / Creative / Re: [Rumor] Savor the Moment/Panotic Mirror Deck on: August 07, 2008, 11:46:06 pm
So then, Mark Trodgon made the deck and Dave Williams played it last weekend but did not win, right?

I'd like to know if the deck used Mana Drains or Workshops (or something else) to power out the eight mana required to get the combo setup!

I can't imagine getting beaten by Serra Sphinx for the win in type 1... awesome.

Seriously, please learn to read, it's only been stated like 5 times in different places.

DAVE WILLIAMS PLAYED TPS.

JERRY YANG PLAYED MIRROR, MIRROR.

DAVE PLAYED AGAINST JERRY AND LOST.

So no, Dave did not play the deck, Jerry did.  Trogdon designed it, as he does for most of the decks Jerry plays.

Yeah, Jerry went 5-1 with the deck.  Took second to Nam because of tie breakers but the deck is awesome.
25  Vintage Community Discussion / Rules Q&A / Swans of Bryn Argoll, Trinisphere and Aluren/Mind's Desire on: July 01, 2008, 12:57:30 am
Hello, I have a couple of questions about cards.

The first is Swans of Bryn Argoll, now I know that if you target it with Chains of Plasma, damage is prevented and Chains controller draws three cards.  The question is, when do you make the copy of Chains, before draw or after?

The next two deal with Trinisphere.
The first question is Trinisphere and Aluren, since Aluren allows you to play creatures with the CC of 3 or less without paying their mana cost, do they have to still pay 3 colorless or nothing at all?
The second question Trinisphere and Mind's Desire, does one have to pay 3 colorless to play the spell off Desire?

Thank You.

Congrats to Jerry Yang on the top 8. Very Happy
Good luck to team Ohio on day two.
