1  Eternal Formats / Global Vintage Tournament Reports and Results / Re: [Report] Winning a Beta Lotus - 2nd at the Gambler's Open on: December 16, 2007, 06:27:43 am
Well done ELD, good result & good report.

also good deck but I would have played 1/2 more bouncers (I think you missed in 1st turn of final match) maybe rebuild and/or repeal..

Round 7 ID  I'm able to relax and prepare mentally for 4 more rounds of Magic.  At this point it's getting late in the day, and I'm not used to playing Magic for so long.  I focus on trying to not allow the grind to effect me.

LOL Wink
you should come to Italy...
sometimes we have 8 or 9 rounds tournaments Wink

Greetings & Congratulations by ILBERNA

Could you make a post about this in the announcement forum so that we can see what the prices will be, where it will be, how to get there etc.

Thanks

Hi arj, it's in progress, within next week we try to post some info to be always updated...

Ciao, ILBERNA

America is a big place, but Americans do study European lists.  We just assume many of these meta's are Sanctioned (no proxy) and not as entirely relevent as a 10 proxy meta.  (But I assure you that we are jealous of your 140+ turnouts. 90+, 50+ and 40+ are the biggest tournies I've been to.)

Hi, that's only one of the reasons you should take a plane and come to Italy for a big tournament (15/16th march in Florence or later for EurOvino 3).
Wil be a pleasure for you and for us to have some people representing US meta in big italian tournaments... maybe also Vintage World Champion 2007 (I hope you read this Stephen..) will appreciate to play against the best Italian players and trade with us LIVE impressions and opinions on the meta differences...

I won't stress you anymore but I hope to see some of you on our next big events.

Bye all, Davide

@ILBERNA

I mostly refer about laughs and crys in the top8/16 mostly in the italian vs. non-italian duels, and for example the italian who started to cry when he won his top16 match. I believe we were always very polite when we went to Italy to play Vintage (I am refering to my playgroup, not every spanish player beacuse I don't know every spanish player who went to Italy to play Vintage). I have gone to Nightmare tournament and Ovinoggeddon in 2006 and Ovinoggeddon 2 this year. Also I am very happy of mostly of you came here to Spain to play in our tourney, and I am also very happy for how you italians treat me when I went to italian tourneys, I only wanted to make notice of these Ill-mannered players (not the mostly, sure).

Hi, I understand what you mean, now it's clear..
and also I understand who you refer to..
is a young guy that is playing from less then 1 year and he was "so fk happy to have no control of his actions"... Smile

The important thing, anyhow, is that you don't refer to any cheat or similar, because only this should be bad...

maybe we also met (not in play) at nightmare and/or Ovinogeddon2

hope to meet you again Wink

I prefer do not talk about the ill-manner of some italian players (not the champion sure, he was very polite).

Hi DuKeLiO,

I'm not sure on what you mean ill-manner, maybe you mean some regarding cheating or just on behaviour?

I hope you refer only about laughs ank sketches during the top 8/16 play..

Thanks for clarify,

ILBERNA
